Thanks poohbear - I haven't put my name down for supply teaching yet as I wanted to have the stability of doing my NQT year in just one school, but I may end up having to consider it if I can't find anything soon. Also, we are only allowed to do 4 terms of supply work before we have to complete our NQT year.
I am feeling old, it has all changed so much. We were allowed to do all of our 'probation' year whilst working on a supply basis. Or maybe I was allowed to as I was only in two schools on supply. It used to be a way to get a foot in the door and become known in your county. Anyway, good luck and I hope something comes up soon.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

gunsandbanjos-can i ask what HAI stands for.
Have to say I am a parent who would much rather take DS or DD to doctors etc.
Never used to be like that but niece was ill for about a weak could even keep fluids down etc. went to doctors every day for 4 days, went to out of hours doctor who basically checked her for meningitis said she was fine-well enough that she would be able to go to Menorca that Saturday. Was still not better the following day so again took her to the same day doctor where she threw up over the whole surgery he then told us to take her to the hospital. Within 6 hours on being in hospital her heart had stop once, was transfered to GOSH, had a tranfussion, and was diagnosed with Haemaltic Ureamic Syndrom which has caused her to know have cerebral palsy whereby she had to learn to walk and talk all over again. Although she is a fantastic child
Ironically when my niece entered the hospital after throwing up in the surgery she started to play and we thought maybe we were just worrying over nothing but are so glad that we did take her in as I dread to think what would have happened if her heart had stopped if she had been at home
Sorry sorry for the essay buy have now lost my trust in Nhs direct-wrongly advised us at first, and also our doctor who has since retiredJanuary Grocery 11/3740 -
I hope I didn't sound like I wouldn't take my dd's the the docs:o I would normally, I think I was reluctant because she was well in herself and it was a saturday(have never used the emergency doctors before so didn't know what they would say)
Anyway I still haven't got off my butt and done any flying...someone give me a KICK!DFW no.630!

Hello everyone!
wasn't going to post today but just had a mad hour whilst OH got LO sorted for bed.
Done: 30 mins ironing, dd's beds stripped, lo cot sheets changed, 2 wash loads done and now on airers & radiators, hoovered all downstairs and tidied toys up.
Just having a lager and waiting for pizza delivery - OH always gets us a takeaway on a Saturday because I work in morning then he goes football so no time to cook! - also we never go out so it is our treat!
Tracy - hope LO is feeling better
Embb - sorry you have had a bad week with car - hope next week is better
Sexy mouse - good luck with the job hunting and don't lose hope - I know someone who got their first teaching job after doing supply after 14 interviews!!
Daisydoll - glad it's nothing too serious - you always kno whats best with your own child and no-one thought that of you!!
mumofjusttwo - how awful about your niece - you hear so many similar stories that even when you do go docs your mind isn't always at rest these days!
Anyone I have missed - hugs and saturday night beers!! xx0 -

hello all
imagine lots of you are watching the rugby...we have it on here and i have laptop on my knee on the sofa! going to have a beer in a moment!
in a non flying way have had a decent enough day. think i am getting a cold though, am sneezing and blowing nose non-stop. we had a bit of a walk on the coast this aft though not much as OH didn't feel great. he bought me some grocery bits after and then cooked dinner (fish fingers and waffles) whilst i prepared my service for tomorrow. he is not a particularly happy bunny at the moment for lots of reasons, which makes things hard for us both.
just life i guess, full of ups and downs!
will need a bit of a clear up tomorrow, the place always gets more messy when OH's around!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Hello - trying not to watch the rugby here. Really have no interest, so i spent the time catching up here instead.
I have been really ill and busy since Thursday. Charlie was better so he went back to nursery for his birthday, and i went into work, and received an hour long b*l***ing. I was accused of all kinds of horrible things by my 2 managers, like being disrespectful, undermining them, not following school procedures, not doing my job properly, failing to send in work when i was off. Mostly crap. It left me really upset though, and although i managed to stay and continue to teach the rest of my lessons that day, i was then violently sick when i got in and had a migraine. So then friday, i felt like crap but went to work anyway so i could try and organise some stuff with my union rep. Taught all day, felt like i was walking on eggshells.
Today i have felt a bit better physically, but it has been a mega hard day as we had a lot of house tidying/sorting to sort out for the party, and i was up at the crack of dawn to go and buy food for it. DH and his parents were fantastic and kept things running smoothly. Even his boss got stuck in and did a load of the washing up to help us out. Party was enjoyed by all and sucessful, and best of all, not too much mess to tidy up at the end.
hugs to you lot. sounds like lots going on.
lil-me good luck for tomorrow. Don't envy you, but i know how happy you will be when you get there
sexy mouse don't give up trying. something will come up if you keep looking. Even if it is only a maternity cover or something like that, you will be getting something.
hope all the poorly kiddlies are feeling a bit better.
will hopefully be logging in for a bit tomorrow but the in-laws are here till monday, i still have all my lessons to plan for next week and a set of books to mark, and all my washing, and we are supposed to be going for a big family pub lunch tomorrow.
I can't really skip any of that as i will be having my performance management observation on monday. (this is now the 5th time this has been arranged for, so fingers crossed i don't waste time planning this again. - grrrrr!)
also need to try and get in touch with my union field officer so i can then make an appointment to talk to the head next week and skip talking to the 2 chimps who manage me and talk to the organ grinder. At least he won't reduce me to tears and might talk to me respectfully. If not, i think i may take a trip to the drs and get signed off as they are not helping me feel any better with the constant griping.
sorry to be such a whinger recently. hope you are all having a lovely evening.

Thanks for the good luck messages, sat down trying to calm down, loads to do then get a text off DPs brother saying 'Can't help tomorrow, going out' I've left it for DP to deal with. I'd cancelled my BIL helping as DPs brother doesn't get on with him and was moaning that he would be there, then he does this, given his mood when he left here to go back to work I wouldn't like to be in his brothers shoes when he finds him, he's switched his phone off so DP can't phone him. DP drops plans etc to help that little sod out all the time, takes him home when no other drivers will because he's so drunk, it's the least he can do. Thankfully DP has managed to get a friend who said he can help for a couple of hours with the big stuff like the fridge freezer and sofas, looks like it's just me and him for the rest.
Going to finish my coffee then start again, pleased the boys are at grandparents definately now as something less to worry about.
Oh and Matthew is fab, he's lovely, I had to put him down before I got broody
If you get an AOL renewal notice, asking to confirm address etc PLEASE DO NOT FILL IT IN, IS NOT LEGIT!!
Another to be aware of, just happened to DPs mother, people setting up business ebay accounts at other peoples address, not the first I have heard of, please be aware that must contact EBAY to inform them if you ge a letter welcoming a business ebay account. One day I might be more organised...........
