    Hi everyone :hello:

Been a busy few days here with work etc so no flying done at all :(

Just got back from A's swimming lesson, she swam 16 lengths :D which is about 15.5 more than I could do! Feeling really proud of her.

Great news about Matthew lil_me tell his mum we are all thinking about them and keeping our fingers crossed that things continue as well over the next few weeks.

Sorry to hear your news Sexymouse, it's never easy to keep taking knock back after knock back but keep going. As they say failure is success turned inside out, those jobs obviously were not the right ones for you ;)

Vanilla wow what a lot of work to be done to the house, it'll look great when it's all done and newly decorated.

tracy hope LO is feeling better soon, you'll have to find him huge piles of leaves to kick about to cheer him up.

Lil_me you are on the home straight now :) think you deserve extra ME time once you are finally there. I need to sort through A & W's toys as well, sounds a lot like your place, toys everywhere and loads not looked at in ages.

Oh another poorly LO. Hope they are better soon, get them to a Doctor anyway.

Threw a bit of a tantrum in Argos yesterday, bought DS1 a nintendo DS for xmas last year, but bought it in September. Phoned up customer services to see if there was anything they could do, guy said OK seeing as it was an xmas gift we will treat it like it was still under guarantee, take it into the store say you have spoken to CS. So I did. But the manager came down said no way, you should not have been told that I wont repair it it's out with guarantee, I can send it away but if it costs you will have to pay it. Asked how much it would cost, no answer, I got stropy and said well I was told it would be fixed, so she phoned CS and now they have no record of my phone call.

I would have been happy to pay for it to be fixed, but they said they would do it for free, told DS1 too, so he was in tears! The B**** didn't even wait till we were out the store before she started laughing at us!

I am fuming! hats worse is that I was so itching to let slip where I am going on Monday (want to know? I'm being interviewed on watchdog :rotfl:) Going to write a long complaint to Argos about it, not the fact that they won't repair it, but that I was told they would, then had to be spoken to like a bit of dirt and my son was laughed at as we left! Not that they will do anything eh?

    Anyway, my list for today

    [strike] S&S kitchen[/strike]
    S&S living room
    S&S bathroom
    Mop floors

Hi all, sorry I have not read all the posts but hugs to those with kids who are unwell.

Measles and all other rashes you can get good pics going into google images and typing in measles rash etc - not recommending self diagnosis but a good starting point. Measles you also get white spots - like grains of salt inside the checks but often before the rash comes out.

We have been having a lovely lazy start to half term.

Been to lidl's to stock up on coissants and they had some great silcone bakewear in there - never tried it before but have brought some mini muffin cases and a large cake case to try. Also got some running sock for DH - I love lidl.

Right sun is shining - washing on the line, going to do an hour or two in the garden.

I haven't dared to look at today's list.

    I have tidied Master bedroom
Hang out washing and put another load in
    Empty dishwasher
Feed animals and check on chucks (2 eggs today!)
Tidy up DSs mess in kitchen, lounge and dining room (Cups glasses, peanut butter knife etc,)

DS3 has bought skis with his EMA money,( He was paid for the last 5 weeks in a lump sum whilst we were away) which he told me last night have to be stored on carpet, flat. So he has chosen the lounge to keep them in. He also has a full set of gold clubs, 3 pairs of shoes in the lounge. I am tearing my hair out! He has gone beating ( I don't agree with that either) for which he will get £35 to spend on more ski gear. He has never been away skiing, all he does is ski down the fields when it snows. I don't think he knows about global warmimg. Sorry I needed to rant about him.

Sexymouse I hope you get a teaching appointment soon. It is really difficult here too and lots of our young teachers have gone to London for first teaching appointments. I don't know if you have put your name down for supply teaching, thats how I got started many years ago.

Lil_me I hope your move goes smoothly, you are well practised at it now though aren't you. And so pleased little Matthew is back home.

daisydoll I agree with others, you know your child, you are obviously not a neurotic mother, take your daughter to a doctor even to put your mind at rest.

Vanilla Isn't it a wierd feeling being told your house is not fit for human habitation. Ours was in that state last year and we got a council grant to have the outside repointed and rendered. We also get the kitchen roof redone. We have had our first spring and summer without water leaking through the lounge walls. My kids decorated again and the interior is so much better. We still have a leaky hall wall when the wind is in a certain direction. I am sure that in the end it will be worth all the upheavel.

I know this is off topic but I have had extreme pain and swelling in my face for about two weeks, doctor and dentist couldn't really find anything but now DH has it and my niece and two of our friends. We thought it was an absess but I was really good and didn't even kiss DH so I wouldn't give it to him. I even had a fever too. Now local GPs are saying it's a virus. Just wondered if it could be mumps. I was pumped full of pain killers and anti biotics for the funeral and until yesterday. I wasn't allowed any alcohol for ten days either. I can drink tonight!

If it is a virus it is really wierd how it attacks jaw and side of face.

Thanks poohbear - I haven't put my name down for supply teaching yet as I wanted to have the stability of doing my NQT year in just one school, but I may end up having to consider it if I can't find anything soon. Also, we are only allowed to do 4 terms of supply work before we have to complete our NQT year.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Thanks everyone. just got back form out of hours doctors was ther 1.5 hours! DD2 is fine, doc said it was either a viral infection of an allergic reaction to something. I think it's probably a viral infection as she has had a cough and cold too. He's told me to give her calpol and piriton and it should go away by itself. Glad I took her though as I would have been worrying all day if I should have took her or not.

As for the housework pah! Still not done any lol! Must get on and tidy at leat as kids are doing their best to wreck the place as I type!
