Spent the last 2 hours decluttering more in the boys rooms, sorting through toys to keep and get rid of. Well getting rid of is going well I'm up to four bin bags full. They have so many toys it's unreal, making note what NOT to buy for Christmas. I'm even finding things unopened from last year, not good. Another sack full of happy street and little people stuff for Matthew, I don't think his Mam realises how much there is when she said she wanted it as I've taken a sack over already. Loads left to do.
I'm having 5 minutes and a pint of orange juice (no small glasses left here) then will go back up, I know DS2 who was sorting through a box with lego and bionicle bits has been distracted and started playing as DS1 just told me. Need to find some pain killers first as my back is going crackers. One day I might be more organised...........

TRACY hope your LO feels better soon it's awful when there poorly.
Hubby thinks i'm gonna be a nightmare while the work is being carried out and he's never lived in a mobile before (i lived in one until i was 10) and it's gonna be a nightmare plus he thinks we can move all our thinks into the mobile and there's just no way ,there won't be enough room.
Kids will think it's an aventure for a while but that will some wear off. I'll be glad to be here while the work is being done so i can keep an eye but the builder is highly recommended so we should be alright.
So need to add builder to my list today and phone him and see what all will happen next.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Quick question: Has anyones children had measles? DD2 has a funny looking rash today, is not chicken pox as she has had that and it doesn't look like that. It's bigger spots and in some part it's big blotchy patches. She's ok in herself has a cold and cough but is playing happily? Don't know whether to ring the doctors, nhs or what?DFW no.630!

Daisydoll I wold call one of them just incase. My sons haven't had measles but my friends little girl did and was really poorly with it. It could be just that the cold has caused the rash, a lot of little ones get spots with viral infections, but I would say ring them just to be sure. One day I might be more organised...........

Would definately call the doctors, would rather be safe than sorry(sorry for the terrible cliche!!)
DONT call NHS 24 though, they are a complete joke!:mad:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
thanks lil_me that's what I was thinking, I'll ring nhs direct and see what they say, I suppose if it gets worse I can always get an appointment with the emergency docs! My 2 seem to have one thing after another at the mo!:mad:DFW no.630!

NHS 24 is not worth your time.
My daughter was really ill with a HAI, we phoned NHS 24, explained that she had a serious heart condition and were really worried about her, they said "sorry we are busy, someone will call you back in about half an hour"
Well needless to say they never did, so we phoned our doctor who came out and said take her to hospital NOW, so we took her to A&E and they took her straight to intensive care. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Have rang docs and am taking her to get checked out in about an hour, I'm one of those 'don't want to be seen as nurotic mothers' but know I might as well take her just to be on the safe side!DFW no.630!

Know what you mean, i'm one of them too. But i've come to realise i'd rather be one of them than lose my daughter.
Our GP couldnt believe NHS 24 had said they were too busy to deal with something so serious, and judging by the amount of doctors drafted in when we got to A&E we didnt really have time to wait for them to get round to phoning us back. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
sexymouse awww sorry about the job appl, must be really frustrating
Daisydoll hope your little one gets better soon, best to ring someone just to be on the safe side, for your peace of mind if nowt else
lil_me you've worked like a trojan the last few weeks, roll on when you can sit down and relax finally.
Tracy hope your LO gets better soon, it's awful when they're ill.

duvet/pillows
bed base
2 full baskets of 'stuff'
bedside cabinet
bedside cabinet drawer (too heavy to move with the cabinet)
chest of drawers
7 drawers out of the chest of drawers (same reason as above)
2 bin bags full of xmas pressies
5 rolls xmas paper/bag of xmas 'stuff'
hoovered carpet to within an inch of it's life
cleaned 4 yr old muck off free standing mirror (ewww)
made bed
put pressies back under bed
washed bedside cabinet/drawers
brought tv/video back into bedroom
^^^ washed it!
Brought back down (to spare room)
1 bin bag (filled with bubble wrap for eBay)
1 box of junk
1 maiden
2 boxes of fireworks
2 bin bags full of stuff
1 DD2's summer wardrobe (packed away)
