Hi Pauline, I've just come across your diary. Sorry to hear about the reasons it started, but you seem to be doing really well.

I'm another bird lover and really enjoy seeing the birds on our feeder, although they haven't been around much of late. I'm guessing they don't like the cold weather either :o

Someone else in this thread mentioned "Feel the Fear and do it Anyway" - I read that at the tender age of 19 and still use some of the things I learnt. I found that I needed to move through the anxiety and just go for it. I didn't go to the hairdresser for a few years and I suddenly decided to just brave it and book an appointment. Over a year later and I feel much less anxious about it.

You can do this. You sound like a strong, resilient person, and we're all behind you :)

Sorry to hear about your sleep woes Pauline. But so pleased you are getting out and about. If you look back at the beginning of your diary you have come such a long way in a short space of time.

    RESET DAY FOR 2018

So I managed 8 hours sleep last night which was marvellous.

    Small steps, regularly taken.....
    • walk outside everyday
    • feed birds and squirrels
    • eat 2 decent meals each day
    • menu plan
    • fabbing at least every other day
    • lose 5lb this month
    • continue sorting "it'll do" OUT of my wardrobe
    • make that self care list I keep talking about
    • find my sense of humour
    • book one concert to look forward to

I think I am finally feeling better. Yay!!

I have been feeling very sorry for myself and that stops now.

The not going out - that stops now.

The feeling worthless - that stops now.

    New improved me STARTS HERE

Welcome to the reset, look out world here I come

    Pauline

I so appreciate everyone's supportive comments and I will live up to them. I promise

  • Just finished sauteed cod with hash brown chips which was delicious. Also made a mince noodle dish for tomorrow. I used to always prepare the next day's meal, the day before and I have got out of the habit but I think it will help me eat better.

I have been out today. A little trundle around the local town so I was walking for about 45 minutes. Went to the library and bought food including some grapes as a treat.

I have fabbed too. I picked up some mended earrings from a local jewellers and they now look like new. It occurred to me that I also have quite a bit of "it'll do" jewellery so I am going to go through my jewellery boxes and make some decisions about what to keep.

And a friend has asked me if I would like to stay with her in Spain for about six weeks. How kind is that? It would be from mid April and it is a lovely idea.

A good day, all in all. Off for a cup of tea and make the menu plan

    Thanks for popping by
    Pauline
