A broken sensor on the car. All fixed £150 so at least I had the money.
Today the window coverings came for the cats (to stop them getting out of an open window) I somehow managed to measure 10cms too much so they are too long 🤦 they fix with strong velcro, so hopefully I can unlock the bottom strip, take 10cms off and get mum to machine the velcro back on. I have a sewing machine but I have just decided that I am useless with it (every time I use it there is a lot of shouting!) I might try to sell it! Should be ok after that. Will do it this weekend
The girl has some forms to do some volunteer work in a charity shop. They are pretty keen (mum normally works there, and obviously can't atm) and she is so bored so looking forward to getting out of the house.
I have a phone appointment with the mortgage advisor tomorrow to update the numbers and decide where we go from here. Doors are booked in for two weeks time, so will have to get the porch sorted before then!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
So one of the cat trees arrived. I rearranged part of the front room with the boy and got it setup. No idea where we will fit a Xmas tree in this year though, although with kittens may be a good idea not to bother 😂
Spoke to the mortgage advisor and went through the figures. We can get about 10k more than when we went in march and that's taking out my furloughed job. I don't think I want to use the income from that tbh, really unsure I will have a job there in Oct so seems a bit silly counting it if we don't need to. Doors being fitted in two weeks, going to pay the boy to sort the gardens out this weekend, need to paint the porch, then we can get it on the market! Can't see the point in waiting tbh. Might arrange some estate agents to visit next week. It will either sell or it won't. The mortgage advisor said they are ridiculously busy, and houses that are priced right are moving, quickly too!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Sounds exciting on the house front. Did you say you had found somewhere you wanted to move?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I love ALL the houses SH 😂 there are a couple of real bargains on atm, but every time one I likes sells, another pops up to take its place, so no concerns there. We have only three absolute needs, everything else is flexible, and I am not one to get hung up on a 'dream house', we will find a house that ticks enough box's, make it a lovely home for 15/20yrs and then downsize.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2
