Jobs done, shattered! The boy was OK, happy to earn some money.

Financially bank balance is looking low. Mainly because so much has gone out in sinking funds. Had saved 1k for the holidays, about half gone, rest set aside for train fares and a couple of days out. Also house insurance has just been paid. Ended up staying with current provider, first time in a while, but they were cheapest.

Need to sort out the stuff for the college course I am booked onto too.

Good news, husbands promotion has been made permenant, with a 3k payrise. Hich means adjusting the bloody tax credits again! It's from sep, so will go online and do it when the kids go back to school so at least this month's will stay the same. Am going to have to make sure husband increases his contribution to the joint account as had only just rejigged the budget for increased food costs. Did a quick thing on entitled to, seems we will lose about £150-200 a month, but I thought that last time he had the payrise in May and we only lost £70?! Honestly, I have no idea how it is worked out. But a payrise will mean he starts grumbling about moving again, and I just can't face it.

Anyway swimming nearly finished, best get sorted.

Diet went well until last night where I consumed all the carbs  am super annoyed at myself, especially as I now feel sluggish and ill. I really need to get on top of this.

Have one job today, then getting my hair cut and coloured. I don't have enough to pay for it, I am short about £30 which is annoying, will have to pinch it from somewhere else. I was planning a meal out next week, but hubby has made other arrangements for that eve meeting up with an old friend so maybe some money saved there.

I feel that my debt busting and money saving has really taken a back seat atm. I have read some new diaries and caught up with old ones and feeling a litlle more inspired. Am doing an extra hours work on Wednesday with the boss, updated my time sheet, next month's pay is only half of what I normally get due to holidays etc, but am hopefully going to be able to cover everything. Have money for the mot which is due end of the month (it better pass after the £700 spent!) and will have enough for new tires by the end of September.

It's a quiet week for the kids as I am working. I finish early on Friday so may attempt a trip to town and the park depending on the weather. Have a bbq to go to on Saturday and then will see what the for is like Sunday, maybe a picnic to a local place.

Anyway best go and write lists for the big two to complete today while I am out. Made te wierd one get dressed just now as the girls friend is coming over to model for a photo shoot for her gcse photography coursework. He did not like that :rotfl:

Well, I had found out that I had already sorted out money for my hair, so still £26 left there, £50 will be added on payday, so enough to get the boys all sorted for new school term. :T

Just been on to order the boy some more school trousers and the ones that he likes that actually fit are sold out. He has one pair will just have to keep checking and I imagine more will be available later on in September. Need to go through what the smalls need. The girl and the boy need shoes, as does the wierd one, I also need some pe kit stuff. Last year u I'd it as soon as they broke up as we went away, but this year it was so ridiculously hot I couldn't do anything :rotfl: anyway, think I will go through it all tonight.

Extra couple of hours work today, really cant be bothered at all, but with the smallest swimming and the awful rain we wouldn't be doing anything anyway.

Anyway best get on with it all.

Was payday yesterday, I saved £900 into next year's holiday fund, so that is at 1k and have hidden the category in ynab. It's nice feeling so super organised  we are in talks about going back to Cornwall with the in laws, but it will have to be July/August because of the girls gcse exams.

Today I have two jobs, then goig to town to get the boys haircut, a spot of lunch and will attempt to get some feet measured, always a nightmare in August. The boy and the wierd one need shoes, the smallest should be OK. The boy will also need new pe shoes and probably some new trainers for everyday too.

I have a man coming to for some work t needs doing. Need to trim the two lounge doors since te new carpet went in, and going to see if he can put new plasterboard up in the porch. Only been without it since 2014 :rotfl: also want to sort one of the flower beds out in the front garden, I know what I want to do, could probably do it myself, but the whole front garden needs a good cut back and I hate doing it, so will get it all done at once I think. He is a good handyman, and comes when he says, great communication, so the quote is just to see what I can afford right now rather than to compare it! He has done work for me twice before so I trust his work. Anyway, have about £150 which I am hoping is enough for the doors and garden at least and then book the ceiling in for next month.

Half way through the holidays and feel we haven't done much. Which is silly. The girl is go to a big theme park, and I promised we could. Unfortunately no idea how we will fit it in, I may see if we can book to go one weekend day in sep. The weather is always awesome hen go back to school anyway.

And thank god its Friday, been a tough week going back to work :j

Thanks for stopping by! Yes lots of fun memories for the kids I hope. Makes up for this past week and next week when we are not doing much at all. Which the little two need, I braved town yesterday, for shoe shopping, the smallest behavior was awful  anyway Shoes bought for the wierd one, the boys feet are a whole size bigger than he was wearing in July, no wonder he could barely get his shoes on :rotfl: but didn't buy any as wanted to try a cheaper shop. Unfortunately his width fitting is H+ so it looks like we will be buying from bloody clarks after all. I have ordered them online to collect from the shop next week. The girl also needs new school shoes, we normally get her kickers from @mazon which always last the whole year, but this year they are way more expensive. However have just discovered them in a shop husband gets discount in so will get him to order them once he is paid. Then trainers for the boy from pim@rk, and some pe kit for the smalls and should be OK. Anyway need to go through all the uniform, will do it tonight I think.

Off to a friends Bbq now, annoyingly husbands waiting on the postman who still hasn't arrived, normally he comes early on a sat. Apparently hubby thought the Bbq was tomorrow, I swear he never listens to anything I say. So now he is in a foul mood. Seriously I am totally a believer in mid life crisis atm  its boring having to tip toe around him, and I always seem to be moderating what I say as cba with all the sniping. I just want a happy family, and sometimes it's just so much easier when he isn't here :(

OK, the reason hubby was annoyed was because he thought the Bbq was tomorrow he was expecting to be able to watch the football as his team was on tele!

Just had a productive hour going through the smalls uniforms. The weird one is fine, the smallest should be OK, except I cannot find his pe kit anywhere!!! It won't cost a huge amount to replace, but I am positive he bought it home, so will have to have another look at some point.

Wide fitting shoes can be a pain - we all have wide feet and it makes it so much harder to find shoes...
Hope you find the pe kit.

Thanks, no sign of it yet mind. Am at a bit of a loss as sure it came home :(

Ns day today. I don't really do these as I don't think I spend a huge amount anyway, but I do think I need to get a bit more of a grip on it. Easier in term time I think.

Been to my mums for a bit, haven't been over in a while. We still are not really back to our normal relationship after the big fall out last year. Although I do like going and chatting to my dad. We have some different opinions on some things and I do like a good debate :rotfl: he's so intelligent and had quite an interesting life, and while he will hopefully be around a long time yet (his dad made over 100) he is 75 and there has been a noticeable slow down in what he is capable of. He is no longer my go to, to help with DIY which is a shame, but he did so much when we had our flat in Brighton before the kids were around.

Put in an order for the boys trousers as they were back in stock, and pe trainers for him and the girl. Need to get hubby to order the girls shoes, sort back packs and lunchboxes and the elusive pe kit and I will be done. :T

Bleh to this morning. Not a great night's sleep and up at 6.30. And four jobs today with te boy. Then home, grab some food and then me and the boy are off to London with a friend to see a show at the barbican. Which is not easy to get to from waterloo, going to have to use the jubilee line, so all the escalators lol! Still looking forward to it though. The girl didn't fancy this one so she is staying with boys until husband gets home. Already grumbling about getting a cab even though I gave him the cash.

Anyway off to make a packed lunch.
