I think the nights are getting darker and colder already - it adds to the tiredness. But if you are only eating late at night it's not surprising you are exhausted. I would have asked OH to wait 10 more mins before coming back.
Sympathise on the extra day's work - I have never worked anywhere that paid overtime... so never had that...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Lol, no I eat in the day. I meant the only times I had been sitting was to eat, so breakfast, lunch and dinner. Omg I would die if I only ate in the eve!
I didn't like to ask hubby to wait as he was already late getting started and had calls to make. But it did seem to throw a spanner in te works.
Today still exhausted, early night did not happen as the smallest decided he needed cuddles at 10pm and took a while to settle, going back to school has really ly messed with his emotions.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
Sorry you are feeling exhausted. Mine's 16 and like yours is finding the new term tiring and exhausting in every way.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank god its the weekend. This past week has been brutal! So tired, I ended the weekend yesterday with a horrendous headache and couldn't go to bed as had to collect the girl from Rangers at 9.30
anyway feel a bit more normal today after a solid 9hours sleep
Had a meeting at school on Thursday about the smallest. He has done so much better this week and his new teachers are getting to grips with him and he is doing well. The meeting was just a bit depressing as it focuses on where he needs help. Came out feeling a little down, but I have to remember it's the best in the long run, and at least the school are supportive.
Having a very quiet weekend, the girl has her first tutoring session tomorrow, but she is loving her new maths teacher at school who seems to have engaged her more than any others and seems on her wavelength as she seems so much more confident than before. So will see how it all goes, the tutoring may only be for a term or so.
Husband wants to go to the cinema, but has done nothing to organise it at all and I can't be bothered as the film is not really my thing. I may remind him in a moment. The girl can babysit if we go tomorrow afternoon.
Anyway need to chase smalls into bed.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
Didn't make it to the I cinema, I did check out times, but there were only 8.30pm showings, and its over 2 1/2 hours long:eek: when did films get so ridiculously long? I blame bloody lord of the rings and the matrix :rotfl: oh well, won't happen now, have to wait for the blue Ray.
I went to town twice this weekend, and both times ended in a carbs fest. Now I am super bloated and feeling poorer. Next weekend I have a trip to see a play my daughter is studying at gcse. Going to have to be super frugal. Food money is gone, get more on Friday, feel I have done OK this month, I increased the budget and meal planning has helped. Need to have a think this coming month on trying to get the cost down a bit though. I have £6 credit on my cc, am going to use thst to get ingredients for a vegan carbonara I am going to try so the boy can eat it (he is dairy free). Otherwise any more food required will have to be bought by the hubby.
Yesterday was lovely one of the local churches had tours of the Bell Tower. I used to ring the church bells until we relocated here and my back was just too bad. Was lovely to visit and when I said I rang for about 6years, he let me have a go. He said it was like riding a bike and it was! Bought back lovely memories and was such fun. Unfortunately my back issues are all in my shoulders and upper/mid back and the repetitiveness of the movement isn't good for it, it's great for lower back pain though if you can get the posture right, it really stretches you out! He invited me to join, and it's so tempting, but it took a decade and a lot of money to get my shoulders and back anywhere near tolerable, I really can't risk itDebt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
End of another day. Hubby is away at a work do and staying over so a rare evening on my own, actually really like it :rotfl: TV to myself, just all feels a bit easier. Although I tend to stay up far to late, so will try and get to bed at a reasonable time. May try to get the girl and boy to watch a film with me.
Money wise, Dla and child benefit came in, all divvyed up, council tax paid, dancing fees paid, topped up xmas fund. Am going to attempt to book ticket for a band for the boy for xmas. But one date only, and a huge band so highly unlikely, especially as I will be at work on a mobile network....... Not mentioning it to him, if I get them yey, if not he will never know. He hasn't asked to go, but I know he will love it (as wil I lol!) so worth a try.
The girl has been pouring over college prospectus trying to decide where to apply. Omg, thought secondary was awkward, this is a whole new level! Off to view them next moth, along with secondary for the wierd one, a busy time here.
Overall, all jsst ticking over, debt not real going down, trying to re focus as much as I can, life keeps getting in the way :rotfl:Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
So much for refocusing! Just managed to get tickets to a concert for next summer for me and the boy. Had to go mid tier price wise, so was quite expensive. But a band I have always want to see, and he really likes them too. And will be his main xmas present. Enough to cover it in my Xmas category, so will pay off the cc I used to pay ASAP. And have ample time to plan costs as may end up staying in London rather than travelling back. Am pretty excited tbh!!! It's a band my husband isn't a fan of, so have never really had a chance of seeing them before, was really pleased when the boy showed interest in them. Just need to keep it quiet until Xmas
Otherwise general spending pots look rubbish :rotfl: get money for food on Friday, will do a big shop this weekend, have some vouchers and a gift card to use so will need to actually go to the shop rather than having a delivery which is anoying, but will be worth it for the saving.
The smallest is swimming tonight, so is happy, I have to get in, cook a vegan carbonara with the boy (may be interesting lol!) then pick the girl up from dancing, then rush off to a meeting at her school. All go, and I am already exhausted.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
Finally sat down! I volunteered the girl for some babysitting to help out a friend, she didn't want to do it, made a fuss, but an easy £10 for an hour and is happy now. Had the meeting at her school all about yr11 and how tough it is blah blah, also about college etc. All feeling rather real now!
I must sort my photo for my college id too, I just hate all the ones I have taken, got to get over myself lol!
Tomorrow I have an extra hour to make up missing an hour this morning. I will attempt to send the picture after that I think. Just need to actually remember. And my hair. A bit. The one I had to upload for @irbnb was shocking!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
Work is done for today. Just sitting and relaxing before going out to guides. I really need to crack on with my leadership stuff. Going to actually open it up this weekend :rotfl:
Finally sent off a photo for my college id, beginning to feel real, start in two weeks :eek:Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
Didn't open my leadership stuff, but did move it closer to the table :rotfl: I do call and book the secondary schools open morning, and began filling in the DLA form for the smallest as his claim ends in January. Need to get the senco to fill in part of it too. Its such a depressing form, it's so hard to do.
Friday was hard and did an extra job too. Am on track to earn enough to pay off the work we have booked, but will need to find a bit extra for the boiler repair that is happening. Possibility of another extra job next week, but would have to be Saturday morning whihh I try and avoid tbh.
Did a big shop this weekend, forgot to use the bloody gift card though  will have to use it next time.
This week is nice and normal, the next two weeks are crazy busy. M trying to keep the weekends as clear as possible but I have two training days with Guides and a theatre trip with the youngest. I also start my college course next week  it seemed a good idea back in july:rotfl:
This last weekend I went to see a play with the girl. It is one of her gcse texts. It was good, not one I would have chosen to see, the theatre was full of parents with teens :rotfl: came in on budget which was great. Have £30 set aside to see Jamie next week, and have se£10 from the food shop this weekend as well, so should be covered for trains and food.
Anyway am going to relax now, first chance all day :beer:Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1
