Oh, Kate that was so wrong of her, what a cruel !!!!!!! she was to say that to you. :grouphug: There's nothing better than a mother's love for any child
When I met someone like her I told myself she must have such a miserable life and was jealous of anyone who was happy and thats why she was so spiteful.... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Thanks Rosie
I was only 16 and on my own so i suppose she was one of those people who thought all single, teenage mums were the scum of the earth lol. I'd love to show her my DD now, 6 yrs old, happy, healthy, confident and bright as a button (top of her class for reading and writing) and say "Look at her, i didn't do too bad a job did i??!!"
Oh and according to my health visitor i should have been very ashamed of myself for bringing up a child without its father. God i felt like i'd been called to the Headmistress or something. I rang the clinic when she'd gone and told them if they sent her again i wasn't letting her in!

An Aga
A Magimix
A kitchen big enough to have one of those islands in the middle
A pantry
A pink Smeg fridge
Etc etc
I'm such a geek, i have visions of a trolley dash around Lakeland. Lol the lakeland catalogue is !!!!!! to me :rotfl:

The Tchibo one cost less than £20 *on sale* I keep checking to see if they've got them in again but no luck so far.. It's definately worth getting one if you can get it that cheap
Heres a pic of mine 'at work'
This was spinach which I dry, whizz and store in a jar as powder.I then have greens to 'hide' in everything evil mother that I am0 -
Kate, I had a very similar situation - my dd was born in the late 60's and I've often thought I'd like to revisit my HV! All power to you for being a good mother and proving that !!!!! wrong!!
Your wish list looks pretty much like mine too - are you sure you're not my daughter or a clone????
Aga, smeg, dehydrators, doughnut makers (!) - sigh - these are the things I fanatasise about!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
D&DD you are such a bad influence!!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

D&DD, I've just checked out dehdrators and surprised at the cost, I thought they were £200 or more (obviously some of them are!). I might consider one of those next year, have to read up about them and see just how useful its likely to be.
What do your find the biggest advantage - less storage space for dehydrated food? obviously saves wasting if you have a glut?... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

if and when we have children, and if we have a HV that's like what you've said, then i hereby promise to invite you all around to watch my OH boot her into the garden and out the gate.
he doesn't suffer fools gladly anyway, and woe betide anyone who says anything to upset me..
just remember to bring the popcorn.
