Oh bless they're a lovely pair Jcr thanks for sharing
I enjoy having my neice over as she's a real girly girl (her name's Victoria/Tori too ) I get to be pink and frilly for the day when she's here :rotfl:love your daughters dress! The little man looks adorable bless him aww seems like eons have passed since mine were that small
Now then those cupboards..:rotfl: :T :rotfl: :T :rotfl:
I now officially crown you Queen of the Stores lol....my word how organised are you!!! Thats excellent and a very varied and useful store.Well done! Now you'll only need to top up as and when, you'll save yourself a fortune :j They'll definately come in handy when the baby arrives too,one less thing to think about..;)0 -
aww thankyou. Tori is just Tori. hubby has joked if we have a girl we should call her vicky , lol. ( don't ask me where the name tori came form as i've no idea)
as for Ryan well loks are deciving. no don't get me worng he is an amazing little boy. ut he is just learning his voice and independance. and he always choose the most awkward times to excersie his power's. lol.
Thanks for comments on the cupboards. i do need to be semi organised as i hate it when ican't find something. i went a bit anthea turner lst year and took everything out of packets and put them in labeled tub's. is till do that , but not with everything.
and yes my plan is to replace as i use something, and there for saving money in the long term. although just seen morrison have ambrosia on bogof at mo. we love it and i only buy when on offer. so i am going to ask hubby if he can help me clear a space somewhere for a supply of custard.0 -
i love all the pictures of your cupboards and I'm jealous.I've been weekly buying ie making a menu plan and sticking to it.It works out cheap as I can feed all of us for less than £20 including laundry products ect but it's boring!!! some days I don't feel like having what I planned.
I WANT A STORECUPBOARD!!!!!!
What should I have in my cupboard so I can make cakes, donuts, muffins, pies, quiches, brownies, biscuits etc at the drop of a hat?
Can anyone give me a help with my shopping list? pleeezelost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

i forget next to the cupbaord with all pasta and rice it is full of tins of chopped toms , b. beans , kidney beans , in fact all sorts of tin's.
as for a cupboard for cake making etc, i always keep in s/r flour , plain flour , strong flour , selection of fruit ( ie cherries , apricots , sultana's , dates ) topping ( bar or 2 of choc , 100 and 1000 ) icing sugar , 2kg bag of caster sugar , oats , syrup , brown sugar , spices such as ginger and mixed spice , coco powder , vanilla essence , bicarb , baking powder , lemon juice. also a big stock of cake cases and miffin case.
sure theres other thing's, but i not quite fully awake yet. lol.0 -
please excuse all the value stuff.
no sod it , i'm proud of my value stuff, lol.
Everyone who grows their own knows that it's not the most perfect looking things that taste the best. Generally all you are paying for with the non value is the time spent sorting out the most perfect looking, the cost of disposing the rest! and advertising.
I believe in starting at the bottom and working my way up. I try the value and if it's acceptable thats fine, if not (I had a problem with value sweetcorn ages ago) so moved up to the 'own brand' and only bought branded when nothing else tasted right, e.g Marmite and Tetley's tea.
One question to all you store cupboarders though - how do you keep track of everything you have? Once it was behind closed doors, I would forget everything I had (memory gone after breakdown:eek:). You must all be really organised.Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

Morning all
Think i have some dreaded lurgy , feeling a bit too hot this morning but oh well must plod on hey
D&DD - your a star! thanks for the help with the sheep costume!
JCR16 - my god no wonder it took forever to put it all away! am also very jealous wish i had that many cupboards in my flat ive got 4! That are usuable to store food in. another 2 have bowls/plates etc in, one has all my tupperware and casserole dishes, one ahs the dogs bits and pieces, the other is taken over by damp so unusable and the other is the two under the sink full of various cleaning things and storage.
How mad is this? I have a Tori too (and no shes not Victoria either just Tori!)
Mollymop - Id agree with JCR. My storecupboard for baking includes
self raising flour
plain flour
bread flour
peppermint flavouring
vanilla flavouring
caster sugar
icing sugar
hundreds and thousands
baking powder
bicarb of soda
golden syrup
oats
cake cases
sultanas and apricots
bar of cooking chocolate
For pies i tend to use fresh fruit etc as im not keen on the tinned stuff much. Plus if you want to do cake baking etc always make sure you have suitable marg/butter in the fridge and eggs! Nothign worse than startign a cake mix to discover you've only got 1 egg and you need 3 (can you tell i speak from experience?)
and cocoa powder is on the list bcause ive run out and son is nagging for chcolate cakes!Time to find me again0 -
Thanks jcr and sammy.think I need an asda or tesco shop.will check for codes first though to get the best deallost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

Did you buy the £10 one or the £14.99 Cosmo one from Tesco??
You'll have to give us a review on it's performance.
Have you notice how well Donut makers are selling on Ebay at the moment?? D&DD, you should be getting commission on those Ebay sales!!!!0
