Thanks for the recipe, I've frozen the chicken now but might just do that when I defrost it, decided to and just do a quick tea after all the problems this evening. For those who don't use flylady my car was hit tonight, driver drove off leaving me with a wingmirror smashed off which came through the window (smashing it) into my face followed by the glass. Now extra costs this month of a new window (just been done) and then a wing mirror which I am battling to find under £50, just adds another blow to the £400 worth of extras which came in this month. Why is it when things start to go wrong they don't stop?
Anyway, glad to hear everyones getting on well, hope the water problem is sorted soon sammy. One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me, so glad that you are ok, what a horrible thing to happen!
Jenagain, congrats on the new job! :T
I'm interested in reports on the doughnut makers/trays, though not sure I could justify buying one just for me?? I could always make them for my sis to sell at her charity sales though...
I used to make deep fried doughnuts and my kids were always fascinated by the fact that they turned themselves when they were cooked on one side (the doughnuts, not the kids)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I suppose it because as the bottom half cooks it gets lighter. but its funny to see them flip themselves over! You need to make sure they have room to do it though, so not too many in at a time.
I used to do them in a deep fat pan but I got nervous about using it and chucked it out, not made doughnuts since! I'm seriously tempted by the doughtnut maker!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

morning sammy:)
i bought a set of long curtains yesterday from rosebys in their discount section, really nice ones which were £120 but i got them for £25. Used one curtain to make a door curtain for the front door, had to alter it a bit but it looks great and keeps the cold out, thank goodness for the sewing machine! would have taken me hours by hand! (not anywhere near your standard Dee!:D loved those hats!!!)
have just popped into town and picked up DS3 christmas present. thats all my kids bought for now:D what a relief!!
weathers rubbish again so im staying in today except for app at ds1 school at 1.20. need to make some cakes, and do some more ironing yuk!
lil me... sorry to hear about your bad day:( hugs for you!!November NSD's - 70 -
donuts r in verdict in a mo...
Here's a pic of the set my friend bought for me..not sure where she got them..probably in Gloucester somewhere where she visits her family??
Heres how they came out..didn't want to brown them off too much as they get 'tough' and they will be iced and sprinkled in a moRound ones will be filled with jam (I have this really cool plunger thingy that fills them..)
Now the dilemma...do I save some for the kids????????0 -
mmmmmmmmmm they look great.Looks like I'm on a donut tray hunt too
Can anyone recommend a good breadmaker? I'd like to use it for pizza dough, jam bread and anything elselost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013
