I havent got the choc yet:( on a really tight budget this week. need to get ds3 xmas prezzie sorted. once that is done, then only family to buy for as kids are all done:):T

the ironing keeps talking to me too:rotfl:, its like a petulant child but im ignoring it lol

i shall keep going on the baths. ds3 will NOT take the eyeQ (ds1 will though reluctantly lol) he nearly threw up when i gave it to him the second time! will have a rethink...any tips on good stuff to hide it in????:D

I'll stick DS3's ear defenders on then I might not hear it talking..:rotfl: works with the OH !!!!!:p

Re the eyeq, use it in the doughnuts, cakes, spread under jam on toast :search: they don't tend to taste it then..just don't lick your fingers when you touch it :p:p:p
I use it anywhere I would use oil for sweet stuff ie carrot cakes just sub a teaspoonful for a tspn of normal oil ;) Its definately an aquired taste but worth persevering with..DS takes it off the spoon  it took me 3 pints of coffee to get rid of the taste when I tried it :rotfl: You can also get away with a tablespoonful in bread :D

I am a sewing machinist by trade so I have a head start there..Comes in very handy!!

ahh that accounts for it. My mum was too and when I announced that I needed a kitchen pinny (quite deliberately in her presence  ) she had 3 made for me in the time it took me to find my navy cotton. Love my mum. She's so clever with a needle. :D

Well, listening to the comforting sounds of my doughnuts whirling in the BM, so now can drink my coffee and have a read up before making my food list.

Just remembered that I've got chicken leftover from yesterday, too, so think I'll make Delia's chicken, leek and cheese flan for tonight. Always impresses. ;)

  • Woo hoo. Just cut out my doughnuts and I've got 28 good sized ones. :j

As I was getting the dough out of the BM I was doing mathmatical calculations in my head, trying to workout whether there would be enough made so that DS2 and I could sample a couple before the others got in (seeing as greed is my middle name). No need to worry now. :D

I know prima have an online manual and extra recipe book which is fab - I downloaded it last week.

Ohh yum! The doughnuts are a total sucess. Both DH and DS1 are salivating over the thought of them as I've texted them both to say that they are done. We've eaten 9 between us. I honestly don't know how that many went.

Delia's recipe is in the Christmas book. Its called Turkey flan with cheese and leeks. If you need the recipe then I'll pm it to you.

Thats just reminded me that I have some leeks down the garden. They're not very big but they would be perfect for this and would save my onions. May have to trot down and pull a couple.

Update: just checked, we've only eaten 8. Well that's a load off!
