My mum just came round and opened the cupbaord to look for a biccy and said she didn't dare move anything as it was so tightly packed, bless. well that one way to keep cupbaords filled i suppose.0 -

Tootsie - yes page 728 of the autumn/winter 2007 blue catalogue - £19.99 makes 7 but may be able to find them cheaper online - possibly ebay or amazoon!
D&DD - Dont suppose you've any spare material for either a cow or sheep costume lurking about have you?? and a spare hour or so! Ben needs a sheep costume for school nativity on the 14th December and i cant find one anywhere or afford one!!
Hi All
I was lurkign this morning but didnt post - well went too then bf took over hte computer - hes ill supposably today!
Am havign a right night mare today, water leakign orm behind a box unit in the bathroom causing damage, so bf ripped the top of the box off, tried to mend it by tightening it, in process of tightening it managed to turn the whole tap around so now is upside down, went to reundo it and broke it so it started pouring with water, so he switched the main water supply off, so i cant have heating on, bath little one, cook much, flush the toilet! etc etc - told me to ring council so i did and then heard his phone ring whilst i was on hold, he came through and said his mate needed a hand as he had a leak in his roof and cat get in the attic to look at it so could he go give them a hand. So bf went to help his mate and said 'oh ill be back later depending on how it goes' , then i got through to the council who said we'll put you on a 24 hour waiting list as an emergency because i have a young child. So at 3pm i left to get ben from school, came home and a note in teh door saying i had missed the plumber and they would be out again within the next 24 hours!
So here i am sat here, with a poxy little fan heater on, me and son locked in front room, draught excluders on doors, ben hasnt dared take his fleece off because its sleeting outside. Just had a phone call now and they said oh an out of hours plumber will come and see you at some point tonight - so it can be basically between 6 - 11pm!!!!!!!!!!
And still no sign of bf!!!!!!!! So am in a total anti man mood today - bloody useless creatures!
Thank god for the preparing for winter thread, got spare duvet under bens bottom sheet for him ready to go to bed so hes snug - he woke me up at 2.15am this morning because he was cold!!! And i think i may have to improvise some rice bags too - ie socks with knots in to heat the beds up or cuddle whilst siiting on the sofa if this bloody plumber doesnt turn up.
Just been informed we are due for lots of strong winds soon from the end of the week or something - oh bleeding joy!!!!!!! Will have to do all my chores tomorrow and get things done when the water is back on then so we are nce and warm.
Anyway i got none of what i wanted to done bar mopping the hallway, no dishes cos no water, no clothes cleaned cos again no water. Bleeding nightmare - have decided that i want a doughnut maker after all this doughnut talk form you all!!!!!
will add it to my christmas listTime to find me again0 -
Tescos had doughnut makers in for £10 last night. A bargain if yours will take coupons on top as well. Can highly recommended a batch of doughnuts to cheer anyone up at the moment and you need a bit of something to brighten your day today, Sammy. Poor you.:grouphug:

i saw in amazon a donut maker that u can use in the oven . would this work just as well as the donut maker ?
as i would love to try making home made donut's as i love them. but after doing such a huge tesco shop i don't have much spare cash at mo. and i don't really want to make deep fat fried ones as i want to try and make them as healthy as poss.0 -
Evening all!
DDD I love those hats, so cute!!
Sammy I hope the water gets sorted soon, I'm sending go-faster vibes to the plumber
We've just had the pie I made last night for dinner and it was another success! OH is amazed by my sudden talentsNow just need to decide what to do for dinner tomorrow.
I've got a Tesco delivery coming between 9 and 11 tonight, 52 packets of crisps for £3, loads of bread flour, yeast, 12 eggs, butter, rice, baked beans (some Heinz for baked potatoes etc and some value ones to go in chilli con carne etc - usually I'd just get Heinz so thats one small step!), 4 packs of cheese, more pepperoni, some spinach, ricotta (I'll use half for a veggie lasagne and freeze half for future use as a pizza topping or something), Pringles were on offer so I got some of those and Ritz crackers for Christmas nibbles.... erm can't remember what else! Will be a nice suprise when it turns up!
I finally got a new job today (been looking since mid September) and went to see my new boss today, he was really busy though and has decided to come to my flat tomorrow to teach me what I'm meant to be doing (I work online from home) - so tonight I need to do a mad tidying spree, everywhere is clean just messy as we have no storage space. I can see our bedroom becoming a bit of a dumping ground again! It's probably a good thing the forum is down tonight!
Hope everyone has had a good day xxGrocery Challenge £5.43/£320.00
