Evening all :) from me and my (naked, what is it about clothes? :rotfl:) boys, they came in and threw everything off, DS2 refused to wear 'non uniform' for school, DS1 I talked into a shirt (but had to be blue) & school trousers but he was not keen at all. Jamie I'm going to pinch your DS3, what a little cracker he is, that smile!!

Did mexican for us for tea, fajitas. DS2 had tortillas and cheese http://www.celiactravel.com/blog/2006/09/deceptively-easy-gluten-free-tortilla.html if anyone wants recipe for tortillas which you can make as soft wraps or then toast as tortilla chips ( i cheated and used shop bought ones tonight I had in the freezer :p ) I'm out of corn flour, I did have loads of it :o bought a catering size bag of 'masa harina' (corn maize flour) from a company called 'cool chile' lasted us for ages! DS1 had fish I did make him oven chips but he hasn't touched them..

Sammy know how you're feeling at the mo, like I said just had almost £400 extra of bills landed on me this month, nowhere else to pull money from so no choice but to shop from home! I'm going to sit and do a meal plan tonight for next week hopefully.
One day I might be more organised...........

Sammy - to get a deep based pizza I think you would have to do a bread dough recipe... but I always found the recipe I had very doughy and dh wasn't so keen.

I now use 4oz self-raising flour, 8 oz of plain flour then pour in 6 tblsp of oil (the recipe say's 4 but I find 6 better - more stretchy ness to the dough if that makes sense!), I use a wooden spoon and mix well rubbing the oil in.. then I add upto a mug of water - bit by bit.. mixing all the time and gradually pull the mix into a dough... I end up using my hands to kneed the dough.. adding more water if needed until all the flour is well mixed in and the dough is not sticky. Then flour the work top and roll the dough to fit your pan. (I can get 4 sandwich tin size pizza bases out of one dough mix - great for the kids when friends come over as they can each decorate their own! OR if you roll it thin then a 10-12" base). Only top when you are ready to cook otherwise it goes soggy - I often make the dough in the mornings and shape to pan so it is more like a "readymeal" in the eve.

Is that helpful? I hope so!

D&DD - what did you use to coat your doughnuts? Was it chocolate or flavoured icing? Have only cooked sugared or jam doughnuts before and was concerned that if I did use just chocolate it might crack and fall off.

Absolutely stuffed at present. :o DH wasn't well last night and didn't touch his dinner (Jamie O's bothan burgers and salad). After lingering around looking longingly at the plate, I asked if he was planning on eating any. No sooner had he said no than I had it off the table, wrapped up and in the fridge for todays lunch. Waste not want not. Yum!

My pantry now has 5 bags of flour, 4 large jars of coffee, 3 large marmite (from tescos mega reductions £1 :D ) and 6x 160 Typhoo tbags. Oh and 2 Heinz Bbq sauces. (5p each from tes' mega reduc' ). It did have 3 tins of chicken soup but DS1 found it thanks to DH. Oh well, its a beginnings.

Freezer still freezing air alone.

Cheerfulness I use Plamil if I have it which is an everything free choccie for DS3 these however had his sainsburys free from choccie on Tesco's milk choc cake covering works really well too (not dairy free though) The plain ones were iced before munching.
Brill news on the pantry its come together so quickly in just a few days well done!!! See it doesn't have to cost a lot what bargains we never get anything like that in our Tesco's ...
You have to start baking now you know to fill that empty freezer :D

Rosieben we still have fun though too, its the 'funny little ways' they have and things only they can do that have you in absolute stitches that get you through the more challenging days..they also have such a innocent view of our crazy world which I adore..pants or no pants :rotfl:

Mumzy we want piccies :D Hope you're pleased with your treat what a lovely OH you have bless him :A

You can part bake the bases first especially helpful with a deep pan to stop them going soggy. Don't put too many toppings on, always a temptation but from running a pizza shop from experience too many toppings they won't cook properly. Pizza shops don't use just mozerella usually, it's a mix of a fatty cheese and mozerella, again don't put too much cheese on. I always use passata as the sauce base and reduce it down first to get rid of the excess water.
