  • Hi ravylesley, I've always freezed my HM bread after I've baked it, never tried freezing the dough. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone, about to use my freecycled BM for this 1st time. Going to make the apple braid, so only using the dough programme. Bet it all goes wrong! :rotfl:

Can I ask how many braids I should get out of this. Is it 2 smaller ones with a bit left over for a few jammy buns?
After 2000 pages, you'd think I'd remember this.

  • Hello everyone, didn't get chance yesterday to make crumpets as something cropped up- made bread and butter pudding though- very tasty. Will be trying the sultana scones this afternoon. so thanks for another great recipe.XX

mookybargirl when i have made the braid i have easliy got 2 braids from the mix, plus enough for few small iced finger's.

one tip from me is custard works really well instead of jam or home made apple sauce and custard in the iced finger's. yummy.

think when bread maker finishes i will have to make a braid.

Thanks jcr - i found your old post, so have made 2 from the mix and kept a bit back for the buns. The braids are in the oven now. Only can't remember when they went in :rotfl: Think they have about 10 mins left.
I stuffed one with too much apple filling so it doesn't look quite as pretty as the other one.

imo the more filling the better. but then i love apples and cinemon.

I've just put the second bread maker on and i've added a teaspoon of cinemmon to the dough mixture as well , as a bit of something extra.

my little boy has just come into kitchen and been really amazed by two bread mkaers side by side. bless him. think that is cause he knows only delishs things come from bread makers.

Braids are out and look lovely, might have stolen a corner. It's very nice.

Was I supposed to knead the dough once it came out of the BM?
