Lily lu and Amanda40 many thanks for the tip off. Will go in pursuit at some point this week.I dont want to spend a fortune on them because I want to put my flour stores in them which is quite substantial and to buy the Lakeland ones could work out to be very expensive

I picked up a pack in the sale after summer this year ( well last year I suppose..) it was classed as a picnic set and had 9 tubs ( in purple) down to £2.50!! The large ones does for a stack of home baking, 1 flour sized, 2 sandwich sizes ( great for pack lunch) and 5 small ones that I use for the kids for grapes and sweeties for their packlunch too. Worth keeping an eye open for that set if they do it again - not sure what the full price was though. No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

Worryign about bf too much today - its a long story, very annoying and bugs me to hell and back so jsut needless to say he is going to come in later either in a nice happy mood or in the foulest mood you've ever seen which means an early night for me to jsut leave him be and not speak to him, but we'll see - knowing the situation he faces tonight im expecting the worse one. think ill have a morning of preperation tomorrow i think too. Yep ive decided.
Got jacket potatoes in the oven cooking, ben has some chips and fish fingers goign because thats what he fancied so we'll have them then ill nip over the shop to get a load fo butter in before the coop closes for its refurbishment. Otehrwise ill have to walk to the other end of the village jsut to get butter for tomorrow

jcr16 I am so so jealous I have spent so many happy summers in Wiltshire at a friends house. You must visit Wardour castle while you are down there it will have a sense of deja vu though as it was used in the Movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. There are the fabulous chalk carvings on the hillsides to see and not forgetting the Cerne Giant!Visit Little Piddle and Greater Piddle and try some of their bottled water lol.A day out in Bath is a must do as well with a trip round the Roman Baths a treat in itself and the Crescent is beautiful.Longleat is lovely and I dont know if its the same but if you visit after 6pm you can walk round the grounds free and on a nice warm evening it is truly beautiful. For the shopping there are market days at Salisbury and Dorchester and if you want a bit of beach time its only a short drive to Weymouth and some of the clearest and cleanest beaches I have ever seen and it has a beautiful marina too that is well worth a visit if you want to drool over mega expensive boats!

Evening everyone
Today was predictably hectic but DS3 coped well with the dentist..although they're probably still having a lay down to get over itFrench sticks and baps came out well so thats tomorrows lunches sorted !!
Managed £37.25p profit on ebay this week so thats in the kitty for shopping tomorrow..
I have a list of bits and bobs to get mainly fruit, milk a few veg bits (still have carrots, parsnips, kale, spinach, leeks and turnips in the garden.)I also need a few 'special bits' for DS3's diet so will divert around £20 for these whch I have to order online..My parents turned up today armed with extra strawberries and they're HUGE!! so they'll do for tomorrow so the two tubs for a fiver in Tescos will hopefully stretch for 2/3 days
Brekkie today was toast and tea for DS3 as per usual..the older two had sausage sandwiches as I actually got up early enough to cook them!!
Lunch was ham sandwiches for the big boysDS3 had strawberries and some bread before the dentist then polished off another punnet when he got home plus a bowl of cereal..
Dinner was chicken pie with mash and peas *plain chicken for his nibs..* washed down with knickerbockerglories !!0 -
We had veggie lasagne mark 2. this met with more approval than the last one! Tried someone's recipe for carrot muffins, not quite as I expected, but OK.
Jumping ship for a couple of days tomorrow afternoon after work, so leaving instructions for an egg beans and toast tea and a jacket potato tea. All will be happy with that! Nice and cheap too. Bread has duly been baked tonight.
Massive pile of ironing to do in lunch break.
Oh! got meeting in Harrogate, visiting friend in Northallerton and then parents in Hull, mum having op on her hand Wed.
Usually go to the market in Northallerton when I'm there. Should be nice, except it will probably be raining."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

D&DD could I ask for your bap recipe please?
I thought they looked like baps right back on one of the early pictures you posted, along with a host of other yummy treats.
I have made some more butter today, freezer stock pile now running low! I have made from the braid recipe 4 mini braids, the size of long rolls with cheese and ham. 4 iced buns and 3 spiced fruit buns. I am getting better at the dough now. :T

Hello all:hello:
I actually managed a few chores today, including unpacking my new oven. This afternoon I tested the microwave and convection oven - sausages and tato wedges, both scrummy! and will test the grill tomorrow; I'm impressed with it so far, my old micro was 800 watts, this one is 1000 so 2 minutes did my milk for coffee this morning! looking forward to trying out a few more recipes in it this week.
Thanks for get well wishes, I'm feeling much better thanks :j hope you're better too mollymops, and anyone else who has the virus/flu whatever it is... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
