My recipe:
2 cups plain flour
2tsp baking powder
2 tsp sugar
2 cups milk
2 eggs - seperate
2 tsp vanilla essence
Mix all ingredients except the egg whites.
whisk egg whites till softly peaking and then fold into the batter mix. don't overfold.
Use a 4oz ladle and pour a ladle's worth of mix into the hot machine and cook for approx 2 mins then repeat
My recipe is sort of similar but it does contain oil.I will look it out and post it for you later

i have looked at it... but put it back in the box.... I *will* be strong and not touch it till christmas day... despite the fact ds1 and I are desperate to have a go!!! Pls note ds1 wants my chrissie pressie too... he told me yesterday that he likes to eat healthy foodWhat do you think of yours?
Thanks Lesley
What do you all give your children to drink?? ds2 likes milk, tea, hot chocolate and juice (real or squash).. ds1 drinks very little and prefers juice (as in the real stuff) which is fine but I don't find it very good for school and he won't touch water.... He does like elderflower cordial and I am thinking of home-made lemonade/ginger beer but it does have a lot of sugar in it... any ideas would be good...
right... am off to bake... we are completely out of niceties!!!! :rolleyes:0 -
YG - I am drying strawberrys/bananas/apples and mushrooms in there today, as a first trial to see how they go....
will update later:)November NSD's - 70 -
Afternoon, only just read the last few posts and now I want a waffle maker, kids were trying to persaude me ages ago, but wouldn't pay loads of money for one, now guess where I'm going to be on Monday!
Will have to catch up later, need to make cheese sauce for lasagne and put it together with leftover bol sauce that's defrosted, else there'll be no dinner for the kids before I got to work! Breadmaker is still the best thing ever, it'll be beeping in a mo, oh how I love it!
Yategirl, got some bits for dd3's cookery set in tesco, they even had a tiny roasting tin for 63p, will be good for tray bakes! Thanks for all your help.
Storecupboards look about to pop with all the stock piling I'm doing at the mo, still it'll be worth it when I start saving money after Christmas when we're broke! Thanks to everyone on here for all the advice and sharing what they do.
Have to come back later to catch up, might've missed a necessary gadget that I just have to have!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
