Make sure the first thing the older two do when they come home is wash their handsThen when he's done that I go around and wipe all the handles and light switches he's touched with disinfectant. xx

Morning
Just popping in to hope everyone is well.
I don't really have much to say other than what I've already said“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”5 -
Sensible precautions are the way forward at this time WF - you're are absolutely right to be concerned for youngest of course, and your anxiety is entirely natural in the circumstances as well, don't feel that you need to be telling yourself that you're silly for worrying. The way things are unfolding right now, and the forecasts that are being given, anyone who is still taking the "more people die from flu" approach to try to make others feel that it's insignificant should be gagged - everyone who takes notice of that approach and feels that they don't need to take the precautions is putting the vulnerable at a higher risk.
I think not sending youngest to school at this stage is probably the right thing but equally your healthcare professionals should be well placed to advise on that. Similarly, getting the older two to wash hands on arrival home, plus things like giving schoolbags a good spray of anti-bac (which might have limited effect, but will at least make you feel that you are doing something constructive) and popping them into the garden for a few hours on arrival home can't do any harm just to minimise the risk further.
You're absolutely right about the media coverage increasing the issues with panic buying - I said that this morning on seeing yet more photos of empty shelves on social media and news channels. To ensure that you have the makings of a few extra meals in might be a good plan though as and when you can, as might extending your budget by the older 2 having school dinners for the moment.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Youngest should've already been back on a phased return at school. The nurse has told me to use my own judgement as they won't be seen advising out of the government guidelines. She hasn't been in school though.
Still no normal budget pasta. Perscription has been delayed now until Friday too. Glad I put it in with a few days to spare but we won't manage past Friday so I hope it is done for then.
I have an appointment tomorrow morning I should definitely attend but I'm not sure how I feel about it and the risks. They have cancelled youngests routine appointments and made some over the phone. Mine needs to be in person. Is it a risk worth taking though. I'm unsure. It means using the bus as taxis are too expensive. The waiting room isn't usually busy and I'm guessing inside the consulting rooms are cleaner than most other places.

The stockpiling situation is an absolutely joke and it's people like you who don't have the means to do so that are impacted. It's the lack of handwash that's killing me, did people just not wash their hands before?! And don't get me started on the people buying 300 rolls of toilet roll. We genuinely need it and I don't know where we'll be able to get some. Good job I have plenty of tissues at home!
On a serious note, let me know if there's anything you're struggling to get and I'll try to get some things down to you x8 -
Thank you
Gstrang that is what concerns me most. We need hand gel before all this. Luckily we did get some from the nurse. But I can't get extra syringes for example. These are still double the amount they have been for a long time on Amazon. It doesn't sound a lot but it is. The same for liquid paracetamol. None. Not even branded. I did get a bottle from the pharmacy but again it's more expensive than supermarket brand. Same for normal adult painkillers. Things I/we use everyday.
It's so annoying and if I hear one more time well it's only deadly for old or vulnerable. Oh so that makes it okay? Like I should be grateful I only have to worry about one child?
The privilege of this not being a major worry must be such a nice place to be sat in. But for many it is a worry. Even those who maybe aren't at sat in the higher risk.
I'm just so sick of trying to find a balance. It's impossible. The selfishness of some. The comments of how stupid those who are concerned are etc.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”9 -

Hi WB
I can't help with the hand gel but if you need calpol and painkillers I can always send you some more over. Or are you just saying you can't get hold of any if you did need them? xx

No beanie. We can't. We don't get her antihistamine on perscription either. Although that hasn't disappeared but it's only from the pharmacy so probably why.
Thank you Tea we are okay for a few more days. It's something we both take everyday. Which is why I mentioned not being able to get hold of it x
