    Thank you x

Tea I think it's a 'golden ticket' as only 20 are chosen out of the year 5 and 6 classes. So out of around 125 of them. But I agree even if it was just a certificate rather than something I'm sure most of the others will attend

HH definitely I'm not fussy and do keep looking for offcuts etc. I've decided to try and use cardboard in a better way than currently. I'm going to play around with it tomorrow.

Wow, that really is a fantastic achievement :T But I'm sorry I still don't like the prize especially as parents are expected to pay for it :o xx

Have to say I think that the yellow ticket 'prize' is very strange.
A prize that is not a prize really.
    I am really confused TBH.

Me either tea :o I'd be disappointed if it was just a local trip we had to pay for but at least it would be more realistic. Even with the pupil premium discount it's unreachable for me. He says he doesn't mind though and that hes just happy has been chosen

Bless him, you really have brought him up well. But this sort of thing makes me so angry. Do people not think things through when they come up with these 'brilliant' ideas. It wouldn't take much for some children to think well I put a load of effort in and got a reward from school but didn't actually get the reward because of personal circumstances at home. What sort of message is that. I'm fuming at the stupidity and lack of thought and it's not even my DS

The next 4 monthly payments will be gone before you know it and that’ll make such a difference to your finances. You have done so well. Have DLA given you any idea how much longer you might have to wait to hear about the appeal. It surely can’t be much longer now.
You’re children are a credit to you - and you them.
Your ds has done well getting his golden ticket - it is an odd arrangement though - should have been a free trip out of school if they wanted to reward the few who deserved a special treat.

Fantastic achievement there, DS. :) He could go far.

    Thank you x

I hope they go quickly Milann although I think it will take longer in reality as the hospital will be pretty intense again right from the beginning of January. They where dealing with September appeals last week when I called. I did my MR in November and appeal in January.

In light of being honest and confessing my sins. I actually applied for a loan from the credit union and it was refused. Along with the loan from universal credit being turned down I think I've exhausted the options. I won't go to somewhere that will put me in a worse position. I applied to clear the things that are going to cut the outgoings. Along with the subsidised carpets and the deposit for DS's trip. Don't judge me I know it was ridiculous:o

I'm finally having a cuppa before finishing the last bits on my list.

4 more school days and wow there's a lot going on in these 4 days.

    Consider yourself unjudged. :)

Can you get a bit of rest while all's quiet? I am sure you have lists galore and I'm also sure that sleep isn't actually written on any of them - but it will help you over the next few days if you can get it. :)

I was the kid at school whose parents couldn't afford the French trip but I've been to some amazing places in the last few years and my French is good enough to get by much of the time. DS's turn will come. (My own kids just about made it to the European trips at school, which were for older children than your DS is now. Between them mine have now been to Australia, NZ, Bali, Japan, China, Singapore, Egypt, Dubai, USA, Brazil, Jamaica, Switzerland, Iceland, France, Germany, Poland, Holland, Spain, Morocco... I can't remember where else but several others. Their turn came, and they earned the money for it themselves. So it can happen. :) ).

P.S. He can still 'travel' on Street View - maybe having a look at where the others are going can enable him to relate to some of what they will say when they get back.

Congrats to DS :T Love the recognition, but agree that it's a silly 'prize'. Is your school in an affluent area or something, they seem to have no concept of money or the fact that parents might be struggling!
