It's dinner time. But I'll be back with more of our plans for the new year and things once the monsters are eating x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0

It probably feels never ending at the moment but those amounts are going to change significantly in the next few months plus once the DLA gets re-awarded your finances are going to be even better.
Do DLA keep you up to date with approximate waiting times to go or are you just left waiting to hear from them? xx0 -
They don't update me tea. But I ring at least twice a week
DS has been awarded a golden ticket today at school. Inviting him along with 19 others on a trip to France. (He can't go and understands he can't that's not what I'm getting at) but it's so amazing he's been chosen. DS really struggles with school. He's never really settled since nursery. It's a struggle to get him there and he finds it quite difficult. The letter states they know how hard he finds things but despite this he turns up everyday with a smile. Polite and well mannered and willing to help anyone etc. I'm so proud of him. He's proud he's been chosen too as he never expected it.
Smalls are fed. They had lasagne. Now they're in the bath before it's time to settle down.

Well done DS. Regardless of whether he goes or not, it’s great he got a ticket :T.
I know you are still waiting on DLA/PIP, but do you not receive anything else that entitles you to a Council Tax rebate? £85 seems a lot in your position XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Yes lucky I do. It's £24 a month after the next 4 months. I had arrears from 2009 onwards on a separate account number that I cleared as a 'debt and the arrears and bits and pieces on the current account number where spread over the remaining months of this council tax year. It will make a huge difference once that's sorted and the rent payments drop by nearly £100 a month. It will make it a lot easier to manage and not keep missing things and trying to catch up etc.
I am really proud of DS Thank you x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Well done to your ds, so fantastic for him to have that recognition.
Also for you, you are a fantastic mum and have wonderful well mannered, polite children to show for it.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Well done to DS for winning the golden ticket and for the reasons stated. You are right to be proud of him.
Have to say I think it's a very odd prize though. Wouldn't they have been better winning a ticket and actually being able to go somewhere like a local attraction or the cinema during school hours of course to make it even more special
I'm definitely not taking anything away from his achievement but I just find it really weird telling a child they've won something but because of circumstances some of them might not be able to get the prize. xx0
