Morning WB
Hope the anxiety levels are subsiding and the sunshine is going some way to making you feel a bit better.
It must feel like you're running a race and every time you see the finish line somebody moves it.I'd be equally frustrated tbh and I can imagine being in the position of having to pay off arrears again must make you feel really fed up but keep in mind it's nothing you've done, it's the system.
Have a lovely day. xx
From me too:)
Remember you are coping really well.

I've spent most of my day reading your diary and I could cry for you! There are only 3 of us and I struggle to feed us on £200 a month, I'm astounded that you manage to feed more people for half of that. It enrages me that a rich country like this has people in situations like yours and the locusts from HA's etc don't seem to be able to think outside of their box when encountering situations like yours and only want their money.
I'm so moved by your journey and anything I write to try and express how amazing I think you are wouldn't reflect how impressed I am by you, especially along with your daughter's health issues and your own MH issues. I truly hope things get better for you in the future and that your outlaws/ex start pulling their weight and contributing to your poor wee kiddies to take some of the weight off you. You're an absolute trooper x0 -

Thank you all so much for your replies. I will reply individually but I'm just going to settle youngest to sleep and hopefully grab 10 minutes peace to have a shower.
I really do appreciate it.
I really didn't want to come across ungrateful or wrong in my post this morning. I definitely wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for the help I have and continue to receive and all the support. It would be so 'easy' to give up. I think the budget writing etc and the realisation that using the last £13 of income to clear the debt would mean I'd be here in debt for another 4 years. Just after being sorted. It won't take me 4 years. I will find a way to do it sooner. I will also have the DLA well before then but that's unknown as to when which I can't rely on knowing it will be sorted on X date. If that makes sense.
Anyway the sun has been glorious today. Smalls are off school tomorrow so fingers crossed for the same and we can get out for a walk to refresh ourselves.
Thank you again

Do you mean that the new rent arrears will take you 4 years to pay off at 13 pounds a week?

No beanie the budgets monthly. There's £13 a month left over which will be nearly 4 years to clear it.
Probably my rubbish post and not your brain

I hope you have a lovely day today. You'll clear the debt sooner than 4 years, you are very resourceful. I know it's stressful though"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Won't there be two weeks of housing benefit for the first two weeks after your UC claim and then your first payment will cover the previous month, with the second payment 3-3.5 weeks later for the second month bringing you back to where you started? Won't that money be to pay off the rent arrears?Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September
