Afternoon
Me and smallest at an appointment. Older two with their Dad. Have wrote a list of things I want to get done this weekend. Which includes sweeping the square at the back again. I need to do my front first though. Also need to do the windows. My anxiety is really quite high. I've arranged to meet family members this week and even though I've arranged it not at my house I'm still having anxiety about itI will do it. I cancelled meeting a relative yesterday right at the last minute
Youngest is really 'well' and I think we have finally found a med that works. Hoping the sleep settles down with her and we can stay on it long enough. We know where we stand with a lot of things now and that helps in knowing what needs to be done.
DD had her tests at school and has been given extra help with some things. It also means in upcoming exams she will have longer time and help with certain bits.
Overall I think a lot is finally falling in to place and I really need to focus on my own issues especially the anxiety side of things. Maybe I need to admit defeat and speak to the Dr again about considering different meds or something.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Sorry your anxiety is high

That is NOT admitting defeat WF - it's being responsible for your own health and knowing when the current set-up is not working for you. If you had a broken limb and the doctor said "Tell you what, we'll just try popping a bandage on it and see if it heals" you would be quick enough to get yourself to the hospital and ask for it please to be x-rayed and put in plaster, wouldn't you? Same thing with the mind only a different sort of break/pain! Get yourself a GP appointment and make sure you attend it, please! xx

Not a defeat, it is a reassessment of the situation prior to the evaluatation of a possibly different approach...

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Evening WB
Great news about the 2 girls and I'm sure knowing where you stand with things will help in the long run.
You're definitely not admitting defeat by speaking to the Dr. If a change of meds can make things better for you I'd definitely have a word. I can understand it's been hard to make yourself a priority lately, but if you feel things are settling down in other areas, now's the time to start thinking about yourself.
Have a lovely evening and weekend. xx0 -
Not defeat, new strategy for changed situation. You've got a lot going on and you adjust plans for everything else as needed, why not this?
Glad you have good news with DDs

It's better to know where you are with things even if it's not always positive. Then you can get it straight in your head and deal with it.
You need to be right in yourself and if it means changing/upping the meds for a while then so be it. Whatever it takes to get through.

Anxiety is horrible and can be absolutely crippling - I know as I have it, though not as badly as I did. Finding the right way through what you're going through is just as important for you as it is for the children - talking of which, it's so good to hear that things are going well for youngest.
Your older DD sounds to have a similar issue to my DD, who remained undiagnosed all through school but eventually got the help she was entitled to and got a degree - it's a disgrace that things aren't always picked up in a timely way, but the help that's available can make a huge difference.
I hope the meeting with family members is easier than expected. Is there someone who could go with you? Maybe someone from the SA? I am sure you will find a way through, being who you are, and going from strength to strength.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning
Thank you all. Smalls are all well. Well treated by someone and had quite a late nightThey had fun though.
In light of trying to not give away where I live to the internet there was a serious incident at the end of the road last night and its all currently taped off with armed police. It means we cant clean out the front or front windows but considering what some family is going through definitely not the end of the world. I have plenty I can get on with out the back.
Smalls have been gifted some pennies in a card for Easter from someone lovelyThey have asked to go to soft play so I will book through Groupon which means it's £6 for the 3 of them for 2 hours during the week. Then they want sweets and chocolate with the rest (I like to know I've told them to spend wisely ) but it's up to them.
Have lots to do including meal planning and being organised etc but it will get done as will the cleaning. We are meeting family on Monday for a cuppa I'm glad they aren't coming to my house then I can leave when I've had enough (more like escape when needed)
Have a lovely weekend
