It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Morning WB :) Hope the smalls are enjoying being off school. Will school not buy or fund what DD needs or is it something to be used at home?

Are you thinking of cancelling the October holiday because you want to go sooner or is it a financial decision? I'd be inclined to stick to October. Like you say it gives you more time to save up and if the DC's need coats and shoes I wouldn't put yourself under the pressure of saving for May, it's only 6 weeks away. You'd have more time to save up for spends as well rather than just travel and the holiday. You could always have a couple of day trips out in May if the money is there.

There is always something to think about with a family isn't there. I don't think that will ever change even when they get older :o but you sound so much better in yourself about things.

    Have a lovely day. xx

    Thank you US :)

Morning Tea, they fund a set in school and I have to fund the set for home. I am thinking of cancelling the October Holiday all together due to the costs :o It does give enough time to save the train fare but I can't fit the cost of the holiday in to pay it. I've only left it so late as I lose the £150 I paid last year (I booked and paid that before we lost the DLA or I definitely wouldn't have booked but at the time we had DLA and I knew it would be the only time away this year after cutting the availability to the relatives caravan) The May break just isn't doable at all. It would be the cot I need to pay to the holiday now then the train fare in 6-7 weeks.

I feel stupid posting about the holiday here when things are/have been so tight and I am/have been worried about the basics :o

I feel much better in certain areas. While youngest's news hasn't been the nicest its good to know where we stand and it just makes me even more determined to make the most of what we do have - especially time.

Smalls are all up and dressed and fed, cleaning is done enough for me to be happy. I think despite the cold we are going to get out for some fresh air.

Can you leave cancelling the oct holiday a bit longer? You may have heard about your DLA appeal by then.

It's a tough one isn't it. The thought of losing £150 deposit stings but the balance is a lot of money to find especially when other things could crop up. Such a pain the DLA is taking so long, it would be a shame to cancel and then it get awarded. :o xx

Not really Jwil as I haven't kept up with the payments so it needs paid in full, if I leave it too late I'll be charged a fee for failing to keep up :o Will decide this week what can be done.

I know Tea it's difficult :o I'm still constantly chasing DLA. I've also completed the hardship form for tax credits so hoping that is successful and my tax credit payment's will be sorted.

I'm very very nearly caught up again to where I was before the bailiffs and things.

I'm having another cup of tea and the smalls are playing with toys :o We really haven't done anything today.

I haven't done many surveys recently I just haven't had time :o But I'm 1 survey away from the £50 cheque from populuslive - assuming I get a survey before the end of April that will be £50 extra by the end of May.

Pleased that the smalls are having a nice day at a play centre and chocolate. They need some treats
You have a real dilemma with the holidays - just a thought - could you get medical evidence and try to reclaim the money you paid last year? Then book afresh something more suitable when you can? Clutching at ideas really, but I suspect you’ve already thought of them all.

Hi. Just caught up with some of your diary (it's long so didn't have time to read it all).
No advice just posting to say I'm reading along and following to send well wishes and support from afar. Hope things are well at the moment with everyone. :o
