Just another echo of what everybody else is saying... just breathe, and sort it on Monday.

Glad you are all home safe

  • You've had a very stressful 2 weeks, even just considering the logistics of managing sleep and school runs with the small, let alone the digesting and understanding the medical issues. Hope you are able to relax today and have a lovely day with the children. Thinking of you...

Good news that the council tax and rent will be going down in April.

I can't believe there is all this quibbling over a poxy £500. I know it's a lot to you (and me!), but in the grand scheme of things it's nothing. Also if you've been paying £5 a week instead of £12.50 they think, doesn't that make you about £40 behind? It's ridiculous  I hope you can get it all sorted tomorrow without having to leave yourself short. I can totally understand you just wanting it gone, I'd be the same.

    Thank you really Thank you.

    Morning

Smalls are all still in bed.... Again! I feel bad waking them :o So I'm making the most of it and brought another coffee up and sat in bed myself :o

Need to find something for dinner tonight when I get up. As you probably guessed I didn't do my food shop :o will do one to be delivered tomorrow. The delivery slots are cheaper on a Monday that's my excuse for being lazy ;)

We have no plans for today just a quiet one enjoying being home. This week is pretty quiet too. Youngests appointments are nearly all home visits and I have respite nurses in Wednesday to watch her so I can attend my own appointments (and squeeze a coffee in :o a spend I shouldn't be doing) I'd rather walk to town and buy a coffee than get the bus and no coffee :o

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday. Hope your weather is much nicer than ours!

Think those coffees and the lie in are well deserved. Was snowing here over the border but turned to rain now. Take care. xxx

Of course. Is there any other way to do it? :D

How lovely to have a home day again - it's raining on purpose just so you can all snuggle in and be together.

Is the respite nurse a new thing? Makes such good sense to provide this. Have a peaceful day x

Thank you TF we cross posted sorry x

Yes it's a new thing Cherry. We know the nurse though I'm still really anxious about it though :o But has to be done. She can't come to my appointments and the other two will be in school so Wednesday mornings are still the best time for them.

It's snowing now  too wet to stick though.

Snow! Wow... when you think how beautiful the weather was the other week! It's certainly chilly over here.

If you make sure the nurse has your number for any emergencies, or just to check things with you, try to leave youngest with her and not worry. I know that's much easier to say than to do but as someone in the caring profession, I've found it works both ways. Parents are the experts in the individual they care for but professionals have an overview from seeing a number of people with similar conditions. As you can imagine, he or she will find it helpful to know if there are special ways of communicating with your daughter, particular ways she takes medication (e.g. in a jam sandwich, or while singing a song!), signs that something isn't right (though they may not be needed), who the important people in her life are, what to say if she asks where Mummy is, how to amuse her, that sort of thing. Those are the sort of things that help me if I am working with someone new to me. I expect it could soon settle into a routine - and you still have your coffee to look forward to. :)
