Also EE the rent situation.
Now I've paid the rent arrears and I'm up to date with rent I'm assuming the court costs both me and him will receive the further steps notice? Wondering if I'm only liable for half the costs and they will chase him for the other half? Or are we both just as liable until it's paid? I could struggle through to save half and get rid of it sooner (still not now within the 10 days) but definitely not all of it.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Morning WB. Glad to hear you're all settled back at home.
When you say it's been 5 weeks since you've paid £5 do you mean you've not paid court costs for 5 weeks or is this all connected to the rent you supposedly owe?
Sounds like EE will be able to put your mind at rest sooner rather than later
Hope you manage to get the stuff e-mailed at some point. xx
I've paid the £5 every week. It's 5 weeks since I cleared the arrears well nearly 6 but 5 Fridays they've had the reduced amount. Or maybe it's actually 6 including this week. Will need to look at my receipts.
I don't owe any rent now it shows up to date I checked (I check every week when I pay
just to make sure Im not even a penny behind

I'm sure it's just an admin error as somebody has already said. Frustrates me when letters like this arrive at weekend though and you can't do anything about it. Same as problems at school on Fridays. By the time DC's have told you about them all the teachers have gone home and you're sat stewing all weekend. I'm sure it will all be sorted. xx0

Thank you for your replies
Feel like handing everything over to someone else and running away
Everything is just a constant worry
I hate so much uncertainty and I just wish things could be simple. Ive definitely made some big mistakes in the past and I'm sure paying for it. It's understandable why so many just give up though
Everyone's awake now best make them breakfast - even though it's nearly lunch time
Waiting for the nurse then need to go and get electric and gas.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
My fault tea the letter is dated the 28th
I just hadn't collected any post I still haven't opened it all

WannabeFree wrote: »EE I was going to drop you a text a couple of weeks ago when I received the notice from the MR but knew you had a lot on so didn't want to bother you.
The latest letter is from the court it has in what DWP decided and why but there's still quite a lot on it that doesn't really make sense (like it's the total opposite not just a little bit wrong in the terms of her issues)
I will pop to the library as soon as I can find someone to sit with her and email them over to you if you don't mind?
Can I just ask when it says any extra evidence can't be 'new or showing things are worse' than when the decision was made is that the original decision? Or the decision from the MR? I'm assuming all the very latest results of things can't be included then? And is still best to have 2 copies of any of the new evidence or do I just need to send it directly to the tribunal service now?
Sorry for all the questions
Please always contact me for advice, I am never too busy in my personal life to help others.
If you would rather take a photo and email it or WA it then that is fine, i dont want you to be charged for using the library.
Everything hinges on the original decision date so its all about how she was on or around that date. Generally nothing newer can be considered but if its a diagnosis of symptoms which she had back on the original decision date then you can include it.
For instance if in May 2018 you had horrendous back pain and could barely walk and applied for PIP and got refused, and then in December 2018 you finally had results of tests and you get a diagnosis you can then include that information as you now have a reason for your back pain.
When I have included much newer evidence I always include a short letter to say that although the date of the evidence is past the original decision date it actually confirms the diagnosis and so is relevent to the matter before the Tribunal.
Any new evidence can be sent to The Tribunal Service and they will then forward to relevant parties which means you will also get a copy of what you sent it!!
In an ideal world you do not want to be taking any new evidence to the actual hearing as it causes a faff, if you do have extra letters that only arrive a day or 2 before the hearing then I would take along about 5 copies and hand them to the Clerk as soon as you arrive, they will thank you for them not having to photocopy everything (obviosuly if the new evidence is 50 pages then dont take 5 copies as it will cost a fortune to copy!!)0 -

If they have his address then the letter should also go to him but I expect it has just been sent to you as your landlord is useless:rotfl:
Unfortunately you are both jointly and severally liable so both fully liable until its paid off and of course as you live in the house it relates to you have more to lose then him so I guess it will all fall to you.0 -
So sorry thats you have had to come home to this and you don't sound moany at all. From EEs posts it sounds like it's a non issue as you are ahead in your payments, but I understand that you must be feeling anxious. Thank you EE that helps on both counts. The letter with the newer dated stuff is a good idea. It's the same issues but gives more detail on expectations etc from tests carried out before/during and after the decision.
Thought it would be the case in the court fees. The court fees can't lead to eviction though can they? Despite me living here and him not it's only financially I have more to lose than him?
He's gift that keeps on giving. Good job naughty words can't be posted as there's several suitable for today. Just going to call Monday and explain. Hope it buys some time to sort something. Sell a kidney maybe or a child I have nothing else I can think of
Thank you EG. literally can't wait till all this is over with. It's been the longest hardest 12 months. Things will no doubt get harder with DD but at least financial wise once I'm out this hole I'll never make the mistakes I've made previously ever and I'll make sure the smalls don't let themselves get in the situation as adults either. But on saying that I'd still support them if they did make choices I didn't agree with. The good out of all this has made me realise I am a better parent than mine where and going forward I won't do anything to out that at risk.
