Anything that isn't pink
:rotfl:
Going to paint over the pink walls with magnolia and freshen the whites up with leftovers from the girls room. The carpet in there I only put in last year and even though it was under the cheapest one from eBay it still looks new. It needs a curtain pole as the girls took it with them into the other room.

I agree, go for the double, it's not a lot more but will give you space to spread out or have the kids in with you if needed."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Hi Wannabe
I often pop in but never post.
I have my own diary now so I feel it's ok to comment on others.
Hope your little girl is ok?

Hope DD2 is OK.
I agree about the double bed - you'll get more than £20 worth of value out of it!
Best of luck with everything. xDebt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20

I think the spends are around £27 - Taxi fare, drinks for smalls, coffee, toast and drinks for smalls this morningNationwide still isn't up and running. Hoping we are home today and it doesn't end up costing any more
Also that she's better of course!

Isn't it lovely that the money was there, though? I wouldn't worry about what you spent last night - it was an emergency. You spent what you had to. You couldn't avoid it.
Although, perhaps it's no bad thing to create an 'emergency bag' for future such trips? You could make up a bag with at least one drink in per small, some snacks etc., a thermos flask and some coffee or coffee sachets for yourself and maybe an emergency £20/£30 in it that you can just grab and and run out the door with it in your hand, knowing that you will have all the stuff you need in it (bought at a reasonable price at the shops instead of expensive vending machines) and they you can top it up again after the trip for the next time?

Sorry to hear about DD2. Hope you didn't have to go all the way to the big hospital and that you're all home soon and able to catch up on some sleep. xx0
