Although, perhaps it's no bad thing to create an 'emergency bag' for future such trips? You could make up a bag with at least one drink in per small, some snacks etc., a thermos flask and some coffee or coffee sachets for yourself and maybe an emergency £20/£30 in it that you can just grab and and run out the door with it in your hand, knowing that you will have all the stuff you need in it (bought at a reasonable price at the shops instead of expensive vending machines) and they you can top it up again after the trip for the next time?
PB this is why I'm so annoyed at myself. We have grab bags ready. Always have them checked and ready have done for years now.
It was so out of the blue though and she couldn't breathe or speak to me so I was trying to get us all up and dressed. We made it to a&e in a taxi quicker than the ambulance would have been with us. I just totally forgot everything. Even my phone was dying! Had to ask someone to charge my phone for me“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
So Nationwide is still down. I've spent on another hot drink and some cold drinks for the smalls as well as lunch for the older two
I feel so mad at myself for forgetting our things but grateful we got here and things aren't as bad as they could have been.
Lesson learnt though! Don't get too comfortable and expect the unexpected! She was totally fine when I checked on her at 1am! By 2.30 she was crawling into me, struggling to breathe and couldn't even talk to me. It was quite scary how quick things changed
Anyway we should be home soon although I don't think I'll sleep for watching at least I'll be comfy and the coffee is free

So sorry the wee one is poorly but glad you should be home soon.
Don’t beat yourself up at forgetting the grab bag, it sounds like it was a very scary time. I would be grateful that I had the money there for it not to be an even bigger issue:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Blimey, Wannabe...if that's how bad DD2 was, it's no wonder you didn't think about anything but her!
I hope she's getting better. That must have been very scary!

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

I would think seeing DD go downhill so quickly and then having to get the other 2 smalls up would be enough to deal with on your own in the middle of the night, never mind thinking about bags.
Maybe the older 2 could have their own grab bags in their bedroom so you can just tell them to get them, rather than you having to think about everything. Just a thought. I'm sure you usually have it all under control.
Glad to hear it's looking like you'll be home soon. xx0 -

Thank you we are home. Have an urgent appointment being made with the consultant/any of his under studies this week. Have to take who ever can fit us in the quickest.
This was so different this time, I know she was unwell at the start of the week but there's normally signs things are playing up and while it does end up in an a & e trip I can kind of know it's coming before it does (which sounds stupid) but this was just totally different.
Anyway older two in the bath and youngest lay on the sofa. Having a cuppa and sorting them some dinner for the older two then bed ready for school tomorrow.
