Would you be able to pay off the rent arrears when the DLA is sorted?

If so I would be putting my energy in to getting that resolved ;)

I know any worries I have always seem to be worse through the night when all is quiet & it makes you feel very alone :o

Hopefully at least some of the arrears would be able to be paid off.

Where are you with that WB? Have you spoken to the MP again? x

Hope everything went well at the doctors.

Personally, I think you need a break from everything but worrying will be fine for starters :)

I really don't think anybody thinks you're ungrateful so you can tick that worry off your list ;) There's nothing wrong with wanting to get on and get things sorted out once and for all, it's why most of us are on here, but I would just bide your time for now, concentrate on the birthdays and then see if you can move things on regarding the arrears. xx

Hey BB50 more the merrier, you're brave reading all my diary :o Thank you for stopping in and staying :)

Matymoo it will make a massive difference to everything. However there is nothing more I can do with it. I have to wait now for an appeal date. I have no idea how long that takes.

I agree worries are worse at night :o I drive myself round in circles :o

Sorry cross posted - Beanie she will help again if needed when there's an appeal date. However she has passed on my contact details to someone who can come to the appeal and help etc that has done it before. But just a waiting game really.

    Thank you Tea

The rent arrears are more worries than just the debt/money behind it. But worrying won't change it I just have to keep with it for a while longer and it will all be changed in 12 months.

Just caught up with you, sorry to read things are still stressful, you do really well coping with it all and you're entitled to the odd wobble.

So glad you decided to knock the loan idea on the head. 12 months will soon pass.

Can't believe the DLA hasn't been sorted yet, what are they playing at :(

I hope DD feels better soon, she goes through such a lot, bless her. She has the best mum ever though :)

I’m sorry you are feeling so worried about your arrears, daughter and life in general. I know there is no easy answer....all you can do is make sure you pay the £25 each time. Think how quickly a year has gone since the birthdays last year - a year will go before you know it and then you can relax a little more and hopefully put things in place to sort the things behind the scenes.

Once the DLA sort sitself out please use it for the rent - that is benefitting your dd2 as well as the other children and yourself as they’ll have a safe roof over their heads and you will not be as stressed.

Hope your little one is doing ok - a worrying time again. You are coping so well.

    Just keep on keeping on.....
    January spends - £587.58
  • Sorry you're feeling bad Wannabe. I know how important it is to feel secure in your home, especially as you have children and are a single mum.

I agree with the others that if you keep paying the £25 a week as agreed, then there is no reason for them to evict you. It costs them money and time to take you to court, so as you long as you pay the agreed amount then there's no logical reason as to why they would do it. Try not to worry, although I know it's hard not to.

I hope DD is better soon, I know you worry about her when she's ill but I know you'll take very good care of her :).

Thank you, Youngest got an extra steroid and is no worse tonight. Fingers crossed it caught it in time, another waiting game :o Waiting seems to be a common thing here.

SA DLA has to go to appeal now - I have no idea how long we will be waiting for that appointment.

Thanks again for all the replies.

Like I say the wobble over the rent isn't just about the 'debt' or HA. Other stuff too. The quicker it's sorted the better for us all. An end to a lot of back ground stress and definitely something that I won't be putting us in the position of again. It's a bigger fight than just the debt. Just the debt is preventing it moving forward. A worry that will just be behind the scenes again and will be dealt with as soon as I can.

Like I said earlier I'm so much better off than I was just a few weeks ago and for that I'm more grateful than I could ever say.

Smalls are in bed and there's cleaning to be done. Youngest is watching a cartoon and has taken over the sofa!
