I don't know how realistic the figures are or the fact my 'income' is so low. It's been playing on my mind since the review and the news they can choose to take the warrant back to court at any time. The thought of being homeless/trying to find a new place with such bad payment history on this house etc really scares me. The fact the council will decide I've made us intentionally homeless because of the arrears etc.
I probably can't get a loan so it's all pointless
But I feel I needed to confess my thoughts down
I'll probably delete it before any one replies :rotfl: Lack of sleep and over thinking probably doesn't make a good mix.
Right.
You might not like whay I am going to say.
But here it is.
DO NOT take a loan at a sky high APR to pay off unsecured debt.
At the end of the day they will not take action if you pay the 25 quid every week. You can do that. You know you need to pay the 25 every week & that has to be your priority. You can do that.
The bed. Well do you really want to go back to paying a silly APR & being really stressed?
This is not the best time to be making decisions.

I deleted it Beanie, I realised how stupid it was once I wrote it down
Not the first time I've done that with posts
I was thinking interest/longer time in debt was a better option than worrying about being homeless
I don't know what you mean about the bed?
ETA do you mean high APR on a bed on credit? If so that's never been an intention/thought or something I would consider no matter the situation. Not even for the smalls would I get a bed on credit. Is that what you mean?“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

Yes, that's what I meant.
So glad that you are not going to do that

Hope DD is well soon Wannabe.
I don't think that your deleted post was stupid, I think it helps to write down thoughts like this to work through them. Of course the stress of the council on this has made you wish that you could get rid of that obligation once and for all, it is ok to admit you are feeling like that even when you are thinking that you need to keep on with the current arrangement.0 -
Ahh I realise it might have looked like that. No definitely no credit for anything. It's not something I could even be tempted to look at. Especially for a bed/furniture etc.
The loan was just for the Rent arrears no more. Basically taking it so I didn't owe the rent anymore I owed something else. With interest I still think the worry would be less than the worry of being homeless. If I defaulted on a loan they couldn't take my home.
I realise it's daft though and I wouldn't get one anyway
It doesn't stop the thoughts at stupid hours of the morning

You're tired, worried about DD, thinking about how to cover 3 birthdays in a short space of time and trying to live on £45 per week that at the moment also has to cover pretty high travel expenses for GP/hospital appointments.
On top of all that you obviously feel in a very vulnerable situation regarding your house. I don't know anything about that side of things but as others have said, surely the fact you're paying what they've asked for and you're on time with this, can only be a positive. Plus they'll have it by the end of the year. It's not as though they're sat there thinking it's going to be years before WB has cleared this.
Why not just keep going with the rent you're paying for the time being and hopefully in weeks to come the DLA will get reinstated and your situation will be completely different. Maybe then you could think about putting something extra towards the rent so you can get it cleared quicker and off your shoulders.
Taking on a loan isn't the best option, but I think you know that deep down. Maybe getting back to thinking short term would help, ie get the DC 's birthdays over before you start thinking about the bed and rent etc. I'm all for long term plans but not if they become a burden. You're actually doing really well at the moment, even if it all seems too much at times. xx0 -

You're right Tea
I think I feel worse because I know we have no where to go if they do go ahead for the eviction.
Abba just under 12 months at £25 a week x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
They would have to find you emergency accommodation wouldn't they and surely that costs them? As I said I'm clueless about this sort of stuff so I'm probably over simplifying it. I'd come and get you myself if the worst came to the worst. We have coffee but you'd have to bring your own hot water bottle.
You certainly wouldn't be on the street
Honestly, 12 months isn't long at all. There are people on here who would be thrilled that their debt would be gone in that amount of time. I know it's not just what you owe, it's the situation and who you owe it to that's causing you worry, but stick with it. It really will be gone before you know it xx0 -
Unless there is something I am missing they will not evict you as long as you pay the 25 quid every single week xI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
