No Tea, they wouldn't as rent arrears is classed as making yourself intentionally homeless.

Beanie all going well that's what should happen. I pay the £25 a week until it's done then get the court order removed and his name taken off the tenancy etc here and I should be able to have my own long term tenancy.

I just need to feel more safe and secure

It probably doesn't make sense with the limited side of things I post on here. I realise I can't change it right now but it doesn't stop me over thinking it :o Especially when youngest is poorly etc and the thought of how things could/will progress down the line. Making sure at least the things I can control are 'stable and safe' is a big thing :o

I'll push it right back to the bottom of the pile again and I know I'll probably have this wobble at least 10 more times before the end of the year :o

Has somebody said something to you at the HA, like a veiled threat? I know you said you hated the HA person. Can OH's name not be taken off the tenancy agreement now? Maybe you'd feel more secure and safe if it was just in your name.

I'd say you're controlling things as much as you can do right now by paying what they've asked for on time. I know it's easy for me to say don't worry about it, but unless somebody has said something, maybe you're just over-focusing on the what if's because of the situation you're in. xx

  • Wannabe, is there any way you can get a taxi card or something similar for DDs appointments?

I dont have experience of it myself but have come across taxi cards for those who are receiving benefits for long term illness. Not sure if it would be an option for you though?

I think I just need a break from worrying :o

So much has been sorted these last 5-6 weeks it's untrue. It's all moved so fast. I'm so grateful for all the help I'e received, had I not received it I would be in a much worse position and for that I am so lucky. I don't want to come across wrong like I'm ungrateful/not thankful for what has happened. I really am.

Like I said there is more than what gets posted here and the rent arrears is the last major hurdle to remove a 'hold' over us (me and the smalls) Once that's gone I know our home is Safe It might not be perfect, nor amazing but it's a roof over our head I will be able to keep and keep safe.

Anyway as I say I am really grateful for everything and I don't want to come across any different.

  • Hi Wannabe

I really hope you don't me popping by to say hello? I feel like I am intruding a little as you have such a strong and loyal group of friends here and your diary feels so real and intimate with them. I have read all your diary and I am in awe of you. I have two small and to manage on the money you do is a miracle and a travesty.

I stayed up late last night to try and finish your diary as I wanted to know you had received the DLA. The disappointment I felt was like it had genuinely happened to me. I then couldn't sleep for worrying about you.

Hope you don't mind if I hang around? I am willing you on.

Sending you lots of love and strength

Would you be able to pay off the rent arrears when the DLA is sorted?

If so I would be putting my energy in to getting that resolved ;)

I know any worries I have always seem to be worse through the night when all is quiet & it makes you feel very alone :o
