Debt
Council Tax [STRIKE]£375[/STRIKE] £350 (£25 paid)
Rent arrears [STRIKE]£1545[/STRIKE] £1495 (£50 paid)
Credit card [STRIKE]£150[/STRIKE] £122.60***
[STRIKE]Total £2070[/STRIKE] £1967.60
Okay I've sat and added all the weekly payments to my diary.
Council Tax - Min Payment £12.50 a week - DFD 19th July
Rent - Min Payment 325 a week - DFD 1st November
I think my plan is to leave theses run at minimum payments.
CC- 49.9% interest along with the £12 over limit fee I keep getting and the £12 late fee
is the one I need to think of a plan and chuck my efforts into.
The CT and Rent don't have any extra interest/fees etc.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Hi Wannabe,
Get your MP to ask about the backdated pay for you and also why it was stopped in the first place.
There's nothing like an MP's letter to get the DWP to jump to attention
I'm glad for you about DS's school trip. That's a real boost for you!

Fab news on the school trip, the MP, and fingers crossed with the DLA.:money:
You have been a busy Bee!!:T0 -
Morning, Halfway through the first week of term already.

If you do get your DLA reinstated would you be able to use the back pay to pay off the credit card? It would be nice to get rid of that, especially with interest of 49.9%
Have a good day. x0 -
Good morning

Thank you for all the replies.
Yes Teafor2 clearing the credit card is my main aim ASAP. DLA are waiting for things from the consultant so I think it will be a bit longer before there is a decision but it is good to know they have/are looking at it and it's not just a straight no.

Morning

Smalls in school, today's plans are .. well not much. Need to still dig around for things to list for sale. I'm struggling to find anything :rotfl:
Have made a colour in chart for the debt, enough squares for the minimum payments for both rent and CT. It doesn't feel so long away the 1st November when they will be gone. The credit card should definitely be gone before then. I hope so it does nothing for my anxiousness hanging over me
Tonight's dinner is based around chicken, not sure what though until I look in the cupboards. Then tomorrow will be something out the freezer.
Hope you all have a lovely day
