I think that's what I will do Beanie it will be much easier once that's gone.

Going to have a hunt through the smalls clothes for anything I can list on eBay too although I'm not sure I'll find much if anything as they don't have much (they have enough but it's something I've never gone overboard with 1 set of uniform - 3-4 normal outfits and a 'smarter' dress/top) But DS might have some he's nearly out of and he got a new to him outfit at Xmas. So worth a look. Might also have some bits from youngest. They don't really have a lot of 'stuff'

That turned into a longer ramble than needed :o :rotfl:

Just checked the CC. The next statement is produced on the 18th with the payment date the 4th. Have added them to my approved list in my email so they don't go to the junk folder too :o To stop me being late!

So I think I might pay anything I can from surveys/selling to there.

I was going to 'roll over' my grocery spends to make it easier as we eat what's in. But I don't know if I should pay what's left of the weeks budget to the CC when the new week's grocery budget starts? Thoughts welcome.

  • Glad today wasn't too bad.
We've had our LA 'check ' today. The lady is lovely, looked at a story DS had wrote (he refuses to write) took some notes on what we had been up to since she visited a year ago. Filled out his EHCP update, asked if we needed any more help with anything and left. She wasn't here more than an hour. You don't have to let them come out though, you can send it in writing. We just find it easier for the EHCP to be continued.

We did buy a lot of on line apps for DS, but now we know which he likes we just have a few and we use lots of books and google.

Hope you have a good nights sleep.

  • I'm tired but not been sleeping until the early hours.

Ive just had a look on twinkl (the children probably use it at school, mine love having it at home) and you can look at the curriculum aims, if you want to follow it, and then look at the worksheets to match each aim. You'll probably be able to make a lot of them up yourself as they are just a couple of tasks on a page.

Right, i'm off to lay with DD2 as she's refusing to sleep.
Hope you manage to settle soon x

I use Twinkl I use a friends sub from when I was back being a TA. She still allows me to log in and print what I want from there. That's where our WOW wall etc come from. So will have a deeper look.

Thank you hope DD settles and you get some sleep

Did the last statement give the estimated interest that will be charged this month? If so add it to the balance at the moment and only pay something to the card if it will take you over the credit limit and incur extra charges.
You need to pay at least the minimum payment to the card after the statement has been produced, so anything you pay now will not count towards that. In your position I would keep the funds in your bank (unless the interest will take you over the limit), but earmarked as for the card so that you are able to pay the minimum amount as soon as possible after the statement date.

Twinkl is one of the main subscriptions we use, (other is reading eggs). It has every worksheet/lapbook you could possibly need. As CT said you can check the curriculum and go through that or choose a topic (eg. Ancient Greece) and search for that. We print a lot of maths fun worksheet (there's one where you have to answer the addition/subtraction question and the answer corresponds to a colour, so it's basically paint by numbers to reveal an unknown picture - mine will spend ages doing these!)

Morning :) Reading about the resources used by home educators I think learning at home sounds a lot more fun than being in school. I bet you get twice as much done in half the time as well on a 1:1 basis.

I'd keep hold of any food cash at the moment until nearer the time the CC is due to be paid and then see what you've got left over. When you know what you're figures are for next month you could send an extra payment over then. Maybe the DLA will have been reinstated as well.

I've sent you a PM. Have a good day. x
