    Morning :)

Hope everyone is well. Another good nights sleep makes a huge difference to my mood. I fell asleep with youngest with phone still in my hand at just gone 9 and we didn't get up until 8 this morning :rotfl:

Have stripped smalls beds and waiting on it drying now before I iron and put it back on. Smalls having some of the leftover curry for lunch just now and then I think we'll attempt a walk out for some fresh air. I think it might rain though

I forgot to order one of youngest prescriptions must remember to do it on Monday morning

    Have a lovely day

  • Glad you had a good nights sleep, I find it makes a huge difference on my mood.
Could you order your littles prescription over the phone, my Dr has an answer machine service, its a good job as well for me as I tend to remember at 10 oclock at night.
  • Glad you’ve been getting some help wannabe. Our local Carer’s Centre referred my DS to a Young Carers Group by Barnados. They took him on trips and we even got tickets to a theatre show for the whole family. Perhaps your eldest two could access something similar?

Hope you have a lovely weekend Xx

In my job I assess for food parcels, we usually allow up to 3 a year as a general rule but if someone needs more help then they can have it but only if they are willing to work with us to overcome their financial difficulties. I had one lady who had 1 each week for 10 weeks but I was trying to sort her benefit claims out and knew she had no money.

That makes perfect sense to me. I honestly thought that was how all food banks worked - providing to those who need it.

Glad you had a better night's sleep, W.

Glad you had a good night's sleep. Hope you have a good day.

I just want to say that although it's probably the last thing on your mind - not wasting food is one of the best things you can do for the environment, so that's something to celebrate and you are providing a great example through using everything up :T :T

You should set up a website/blog for cooking on a very tight budget. Others seem to have made a living from it and it's something you could do around the smalls. You should be proud of yourself - it's a shame your relatives give you so much grief when they should be supporting you xx

Hi Wannabe, hope you've all had a lovely day. We've been looking after a 2.5 year old today. Really good fun but oh my goodness I'm shattered :rotfl: Glad to hear you're sleeping better, think I'll be out like a light tonight. x

I also think you're ace and you could write a fantastic blog on cooking or all the lovely things you do with the smalls.

Thanks for the Trussell info people, I will donate to the local one now instead. I did Trussell last time because the local one isn't easily set up to receive money and I always dither about what they need most so end up deciding to just give cash. But I think the local one has have a drop off thing opposite one of the supermarkets so what I might do now is go in and ask, then raid the supermarket for them and drop it back.

  • Do you use social media Rosa? I follow the local foodbank on Facebook and they often post what they are desperate for. Might save you the trip to ask Xx
