  • Thinking of you Wannabe...sounds like the consultant's appointment was a lot to take in. Does your little one have access to a support nurse for her condition? My DD has to be under a consultant for a condition but has secondary appointments with a nurse and they are more practical and supportive. Is there a wider national support group that might help?

I was thinking about ways to make your house Christmasssy...forgive me if I've misunderstood...if you have some old magazines or a roll of wrapping paper, could they make some paper chains to hang up? If you have any green paint, make lots of hand prints. When dried, cut them out and arrange them in layers so that upended, a Christamas tree shape is made. Depending on the number of handprints you can make it quite sizeable. Any spares could be put into a circle shape to make a wreath. If you have some paper, cut out some circles. Cut a line into the centre so that you can make a cone shape. You then can it out wings to stick on the back, add a face and you have an angel. You could create the whole nativity scene in cone people...

Our Christmas is lean this year so the above are ideas I'll be using with my younger DDs and at work!

Sorry to hear about the appointment. I hope the DLA gets sorted too,

Can you not use paypal for prolific? It's instant payment now, you do lose a bit in fees, but it's not a lot and worth it if you need it urgently.

  • Yeah Beanie they are providing as much evidence as they can and said it should be more than enough for it to be sorted at an appeal should we reach that point. I think when I rang today though they don't accept new evidence for the MR and only once it reaches appeal? I will call again Monday to clarify I was too upset to fully listen and take in what they said today :o

How did you put in your Mandatory Reconsideration? Phone or letter? Did you mention you would get medical evidence?

They will accept new evidence once the MR is in and even when a decision has been made, right up until appeal stage as they dont want it to go to appeal either.

I would ring on Monday and ask them to note the file as more medical evidence to follow and that way the MR will sit there until you get the evidence in.
  • I'm really sorry to hear about little DD Wannabe, that is tough news to deal with.

EE has given you great advice about the DLA. Would the CAB help you with phone calls or letters about it? You have so much on your plate at the moment.

EE I have asked for the MR in a letter. I've used the each thing they said that I didn't think was correct and explained why it's wrong and also noted things they haven't took into consideration. Is that wrong? When I called yesterday they had received the letter I sent but she couldn't say how long it would take to be dealt with. So I can send the new letters? I'll call again Monday morning because yesterday's letters will have been written up on Monday and I should receive my copies in the post next week.

I was going to WhatsApp you but didn't want to bother you :o

    Thank you Cherry X

HSL we do have a support worker. She does help with the communications with school etc when I need it so she probably would! I don't like putting on her though :o and try to do as much as I can myself. I love the idea of paper chains and things I think we might do that this afternoon.Im going to make the wreath and angels too I hadn't thought of those.

Thank you Jwil. I've never cashed out to PayPal I've always used Circle I'll have a look though. I'm waiting for PA to reply. It still hasn't turned up. It looks like I'm not alone over on the PA thread though.

HH I called CAB and they didn't have any appointments this side of Xmas. They said it's the busiest they've been but I could go to the drop in. I just didn't have chance to go and wait hours :o

Teafor2 it is panto weekend I totally forgot :o

I think I replied to everyone I'm sorry if I've not just shout at me and I'll reply :o :rotfl:

Youngest is still in bed! She must need it so I'll leave her a little longer and enjoy my brew in peace. Other two are watching The Grinch.

No major plans today. Tidy up and craft and just potter. The weather is still horrid and the wind last night was crazy.

I hope everyone has a good day thank you for all your lovely replies

Thats exactly what you should have done so thats great!!!

They usually work to a 4 week turnaround so plenty of time. Call on Monday and tell them medical evidence is coming so that if they get to yours before the medical evidence is there they will pend it.

You can send extra evidence whenever you want, people are actually encouraged to send a letter and then send medical evidence in as its such a tight time limit they are given.

Feel free to Whats App - I have changed phone and lost your number:(:(
