The debt payments are mainly the minimums just now
Once the kids birthdays and decorating is finished I can go back to throwing it all at the debt but I wanted to make sure the kids had a good birthday and do things they will remember.
The taxi fares should reduce in a few weeks too which will make life easier.
I feel a bit of a cheat keep posting when I'm not focusing 100% on busting the debt down“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Not a cheat at all.
After all you've been through I think it's a good idea to concentrate on the wee ones birthdays and makeing the house comfortable for the four of you.
Minimum payments are fine for just now and then I know you:ll get back to debt busting.

Spends continued.

Sometimes spends are a must. You've not exactly been going mad, don't feel guilty.
If you enjoy Diet Coke so what for now - at least you're not on the vodka.
Take care WF xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I think that's it for the spendy side of things
I've money aside for DS birthday sweets/popcorn and things and for youngests. Youngest isn't having a party but wants to go to the softplay attached to a pub. We have free play vouchers for 2 of them because they attended a party there. So overall should only cost £3.75 for one of them and maybe some drinks. I have money set aside though and what ever is left I'll send over to the debt after her birthday. I'm all sorted now for their gifts/cards/balloons etc. Although I forgot mothers day! So will need to pick a card up.
Girls are sorted for clothes now. DS needs a few bits but I'm hoping he gets some as gifts
But I think the main things are done. The savings for holidays has enough in to cover the Easter travel and spends.
I still think I've forgot something though.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
They sound like necessary spends and great deal on trainers! Could the kids make a card with your crafty stash? I get mine to make them for my mum and Mil and send it from all of us.

Evening
A quiet day here today. - 5lbs at fat club! Gotta get rid of all the lazy pounds I have put back on
I really want a fitbit - so I'm going to save survey money for oneI did use my birthday gifts for debts and food shopping so I don't feel too bad. Although I probably will when it comes to actually buying one!
Stuck to meal plan, house is clean and ironing up to date.
Going to jump in the shower and head to bed I think!
EG Good idea! we have the crafty things out to make a castle for DD and a turtle for DS for homework so could do the cards why we already making a mess  Thank you

I love my Fitbit! It's worth looking out for them in small ads/Ebay as some people don't stick with them and they are expensive. If you can borrow one for a few days it will help you decide what features work for you. I borrowed before I bought and discovered I don't need to know how many flights of stairs it thinks I climbed! (This was never right anyway because it counts a hill as stairs). Knowing that, I bought a lower spec one which I'm very happy with.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I think I only need the really basic on looking at them. Although it's pretty confusing I only need it to record steps. I don't even need it to have the time on :rotfl:
I don't think I know anyone who has one though.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0
