Twinkle woke up as I went to bed.. then at 4 and we've been up since half 6.. I am shattered but she is likely to be going down for a nap about 10/11ish with any luck.

    Todays delights include..
    • I must go to my mothers for cash collecting...
    • vacuum the landing
    • sand the bathroom/toilet
    • filler the ceiling cracks in bathroom
    • I need a bank statement for my mortgage takeover but.. I don't want all the outgoing transactions on it.. there are loads of silly little things and it seems pointless to include them.. why would it matter if I spent £2.33 on 20 pairs of socks from Amazon? bank statements are supposed to be personal documents and I'm not happy giving them out willy-nilly. CF is quite simply not going to sign the forms anyway so it is a waste of time and effort even trying.. yes I was delighted they said I could take over the mortgage on my own but in reality that isn't going to happen.. but, only 8 or 9 years left so I'll just suck it up I guess and hope I don't die in the interim.
    • I'd fill some more binbags but my wheelies are both full!!!
    • Avon returns collected.. only took 5 months!!
    • I need to sort the stuff we got from the loft yesterday too.
    • at least 7 loads of laundry to be done, I need to change all the bedding (4 more loads).. and it's raining!

Girls trundled off to breakfast club, OH is supposed to be in college for 8:30.. and the others are kicked and getting ready. DS2 not in until Wednesday this week.. but he appears to be loving it.

For goodness sake... I have a small mat in here and Twinkle is dragging it all over the room, she is driving me nuts.. is nailing a rug to the floor a crazy idea?

  • Hugs to all having a difficult time.
In again this week Going to make a start in kitchen but need a cuppa first.
Trying to keep busy as it stops mind from wandering - not always easy icon9.gifbut doing ok.
Need to clear table again- why does everything get left on there?
It drives me mad and looks such a mess -will have to think what to do to stop it.

I hope your windows turn up and are fitted by the time you go on your holibobs, Lynne.

Do you reheat your new potatoes Ionafan? If so, how? Cooking all of them at once is such an excellent idea I want to nick it if I may.

Drawer and cupboard turning out today will happen with avengance because I'm falling behind although it's working really well. The serious decluttering that's been going on for a few years has got rid of all of the tat, saleable and donatable stuff, now I'm down to the 'good stuff' and decisions are about the letting go of emotional baggage. For some reason this month that's been doable, whereas it hasn't been before. I want to make the most of what must be emotional stability in my life and declutter big time.

And I really must finish the letting rooms off, ready for an arrival on Sunday.
    Better is good enough.
  • Iona - Happy Anniversary for tomorrow, and I hope your DH's mood lifts very soon xx
Lynne - how frustrating. I hope they give you a firm date ASAP; nothing worse than being in limbo with such a big job, especially at this time of year xx

I have just slurped a brew; will be heading out volunteering shortly. So far:

    - Beds made
    - DD room tidied
    - Washing put away
    - DW unloaded
    - Kiddies dropped off
    - Went to bank, post office, charity shop (to donate, not buy!) and pound shop (all in the pouring rain, so look a bit bedraggled now!)

I still need to clean my teeth :o, will telephone the bank to transfer some monies then get ready to head out again. Taking my elderly grandma food shopping straight after school run tomorrow so really need to get ahead today.

    Have lovely days all xx

And Pigpen that pic is gorgeous. Maybe we should get everyone on here to post a baby pic of themselves.
Gosh, Piggers looks so butter-wouldn't-melt in that photo. :o
Sorry YL I don't actually have any pictures of me prior to 2002. :o
Just got a message. I've been booked as support for a fairly well known folk duo at one gig. Got to learn the music now. On two, maybe three or four separate instruments - maybe I should just hang them all around my neck at once?
Oh wow, that sounds fab! Hard work for you, I know, but.... gosh, I wish I could attend the performance! :o

Probably a better idea than nailing Twinkle to the floor. I'll get me coat......

Flying off-liste as best I can again; woke up in humungous amounts of pain in every joint - then mr LW informed me it was raining, which may be a contributory factor (I can forecast the weather with what my wretched body does to me).
    Tasks for today:
    • Make pizza (need to get the dough made very shortly or it won't get done at all)
    • Make a loaf
    • Make a rice pudding
    • Blitz the kitchen after the above is all done
    • Bundle up the recycling ready to go out tomorrow morning (all except the glassware has to go in the pink plastic sack)
    • FROG: weed out the worn-out towels and tea cloths
    • Start on the next installment of "A Poo Bag In My Pocket" - this is a regular (roughly quarterly) article I write for the Mensa DogSIG magazine, based on my experiences as a dog-sitter
    • See if I can fit in a bit of my Dog Behaviour Training course
That lot should keep me busy, don't you think? :o Busy is better; it means I have less time to think, if that makes sense.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Puff, puff, humph, grunt....heave, heave, chuck and fling!!

Middle Room in the house has the lounge furniture removed, all the light fittings fitted, cobwebs removed, new bookcase set in place and floor swept.

Lounge has seen the painting of four wall panels in an "interesting" shade of pale green, called "straw" I like it, it's just not what I was expecting :rotfl: and the installation of the last wall light has taken place.

I've also refereed a mini-strop between two electricans, organised a trench to be dug and approved it's finished state, cleared an entire work surface in the caravan (go Dizzy), ordered Propane gas and scoffed lunch.

Got an hour before the school pick up, so back on it with the paint brush...

    Hugs all round xxx
  • Hi all

Busy morning at the paid stuff, home to run the hoover around, tidy, mop the floors and put chicken in oven. On with job no. 2 now. Back to job no. 1 tonight for a meeting.

I am suffering with strange post exercise chills. Even though its 7 hours since I was in the gym I can't get warm. Think this may be low blood sugar and/or not enough fluids combined with my tendency to feel cold anyway. Feel like someone has put an icepack down my back, its not nice!
