Hi GR I bet you feel a little more relaxed about the situation with DD and school. It's a horrible feeling isn't it. We just want to protect them from the nasty things in the world.
Talking of which, sorry you had a rotten day at work. It's not getting any better is it. It really does need to be sorted out.
Hope you have a better evening and you get the visit from J.
    Take care.

Good morning Diz, had my visit last night but he didn't leave til 3 am so my eyes are little bit blurry this morning. Have got a list of stuff to do that's as long as my arm and I just don't feel like doing it yet. WIll have to get a move on soon because I've got to catch the Halifax before it closes.

Got absolutely nothing to do today. If I be perfectly honest with you I didn't know about the petrol strike (don't listen to the news as I find it depressing) and now I've not got any left. Was on the red driving home yesterday and will probably have enough to get me to and from work on Monday :(

I had the depressions yesterday about my weight and have decided that I start my diet today. Hardly ever eat breakfast so I've started the day with some toast. I really need to get a grip on this before it gets out of hand. I initially thought the anti d's were responsible for the weight gain, but I took the last one of them at the end of May so I would have thought I'd have seen a small improvement by now. Drastic action needed here.

Am going to list a few more items on e-bay now and will catch you all later.

    Have a good day.

I've been listing like mad today and am so tired I think I may well have sold something at a loss. Placed an item on e-bay for buy it now at a cost of £13.50 with a £5 postage. It's a really large item. SOmebody has been e-mailing me about the item all afternoon and I've fallen for the sob story - single mother with two young girls who desperately want my item so I've thrown all the goodies in with it along with a jewelery box and photo frame all for £13. The parcel is massive. Why am I such a soft touch? I'm a single parent too and all I'm trying to do is make a bit extra.

Oh well, put it down to experience. Been feeling down today (think it's more tired than depression) so thought a glass of wine would lif my spirits but all its done is given me heartburn :(

Think some antacids and an early night is on the cards for me tonight :)

Thanks Wendy, was all ready for bed about 8.00 and my best friend whose moved up North phoned to say that she was down in Wales and was calling in to see me. It was a lovely surprise and she brought her family with her. It was fabulous to catch up, she's the best friend I've ever had and even though she's moved away we still catche up and speak on the phone quite a bit.

She also bought me a belated birthday present (we don't normally buy for each other) because she knew I'd been feeling down lately and thought it would cheer me up.

Its made my day. I'm going to get some sleep now, catch you all tomorrow.
  • Thats lovely news, great to catch up with a friend. Hope you still get to rest though!

Morning all. Wendt to bed about 10 last night and slept all night. GFeel lots better this morning. Just sitting here with my pomegranate juice and toast typing away. Yesterday was the first day of my eating healthy and I done well yesterday so I'm hoping I can keep on track today. The first few days are always the hardest and the time when I give up. I am so determined to lost a stone because I know it'll make me feel better and look better.

Have got 36 items ending on e-bay today and the mobile phone I'm selling for J has currently got 7 bidders fighting over it. All the other items that are ending are knitting patterns from my mum so I know they are not going to go for an awful lot but I should make about 80p off each sale.

I'll update my sig tonight when everything is sold.

    Hi GR
Would it help to add a 'healthy eating' challenge to your sig. and update us in your diary. You know, do it like the June money challenge, but call it June healthy eating challenge. Look how fantastic you've done with the money one. It might help you to keep focussed.
Really sorry you've been down too GR. I don't think it helps matters with work does it. Hope all's well with you and J.
As for the ebay, I bet the woman you're sending the items to, really appreciates it and it'll make you feel good too knowing you're helping someone. Just don't do it too often GR :)
Enjoy the rest of the day, it's quite pleasant here, and catch you later.

Hi Wendy, you could try it too. I think we tend to stick to things once it's written down. :D
