Hi Racer I know what you mean about the STarbucks, unfortunately I don't drink Tea or Coffee. I didn't even buy a drink lunchtime today I had water which was free!

As for the paying in of the cheque. I bank with the Alliance and Leicester and there are no branches around me. They are accessible through the post office but to pay in a cheque you need the paying in slip. I don't do anything by halves.

Good news on the Advantage Loan front, sent a stroppy e-mail to customer services and cc'd it to the MD. Have had a reply back today saying that sis will have her £50 paid back into her account within 72 hours - RESULT

Don't think anything else exciting has happened today though. Have just checked envirofone and they still haven't issued my cheque!

Hiya GR..hope you had a good day. I don't know how you find the time to go on the computer in the morning. Does it help to keep you on track for the day? I barely have time to sneeze. That's because I do tend to leave getting up till the last possible moment though. Hope you're having a relaxing evening.

I don't start work until 10 am so I've got a little routine in the mornings. I always check my online banking, read my stars and pop on here so that I can tell everyone my plans for the day. Once I tell you guys what I'm up to I've got to stick to it so it keeps me motivated!!!
  • Hi GirlRacer

I bank with Alliance & Leicester, I used the post office last week to bank a cheque and I didnt use a paying in slip. Put the cheque in a envelope with my name and account details on the back, they did have special Alliance & Leicester envelopes at the post office. My cheque showed on the account 2 days later.

Thanks Looby I'll give that a go. You swear the cheque was worth millions. Its only for £43 but I can't wait to get it into the ISA. It's so frustrating I'm always so careful with things relating to the banks but I can't for the life of me find the bleeding paying in book. I've turned the house upside down looking for it.

Can you believe it, DD was just reading my previous message over my shoulder and she said 'I know where your alliance and leicester book is' apparently she's been using it to play banks!!!!!

Problem solved, cheque sent off first thing tomorrow.
  • When you're not looking for it, it'll turn up, it always happens like that. :D

Hi GR, Glad you found the paying book in the end. I have to get Tesco shopping (boo!) but online and do my clickthroughs then an evening with a glass of wine is in order.

Hi Racer Just got back from Asda and spent £40. Am quite pleased with myself. Had an e-mail today from Envirophone saying that my phone has passed their testing and there'll be a cheque out to me in 7 days.

Am also in a quandry what to do about my current phone. Its on contract and if I extend my contract for another 12 months I can get a new phone and then sell my old phone to Mazuma. Could potentially get £105 for it. What do you all think? SHould I sell? Am quite happy with my contract with Vodafone.
