Thanks Buzzbox I am a lot happier than I have been for a long time. I can't believe how life has turned around for me. Never in a million years thought I'd be seeing J again and that has cheered me up no end.
The fact that I'm debt free is also a BIG bonus, I would just like to get myself a nice little nest egg. Was getting myself stressed about things last week, needed a new TV, car service and MOT is due in the next 2 weeks and obviously the school uniform shop is looming but I seem to have got everything under control. The insurance are coming on Thursday to look at the TV so hopefully they'll pay out (but I will have to pay £100 excess), if they don't payout then J's kindly given me a TV to keep me going, mum is going to help with the school uniform shop and it's only the car that I need to worry about. It's the first MOT so I'm hoping there'll be nothing wrong with it!
Also been granted out annual pay rise at work and should be getting back pay for that. It's only 4 months worth and I dont know when I'll get it but it'll certainly go a long way.
Off to work now and really don't feel like going today. Cach you all later x0 -
Hello GR...
Hope today has been a better day for you hun. It's not like you to be so down. You've been doing so much on the money front you're bound to feel tired and fed up with it at times. Make sure you get lots of rest. You've had some more late nights again GR, I know they're great but maybe you need more sleep than you're getting.
Has anything improved at work or are things still the same? I know you've worked damn hard to get the money totals you have and now that you're having to spend some maybe that's getting you down a bit. But because of all that hard work you don't have to put it on your credit card again. That must be a brilliant feeling. You've done amazingly well hun and you certainly inspire me.
Hopefully will catch you later.

You've hit the nail on the head Diz, too many late nights. Tonight I've got to go to bed early and catch up on some sleep.
Work is about the same. I can't believe somebody can say so many swear words in one day!!!!! There's 3 of us in the office and me and the other girl are 'loved up' at the moment so we tend to just speak amongst ourselves. I know that annoys the witch but we've try to soicalise with her and its just not happening.
Have got a big spend in August and your right, it is getting me down - the thought of spending my well deserved savingsbut it is much better than using the credit card. I've got DD's birthday, £100 excess for the TV, car service, MOT, J's birthday and school uniform. OMG it sounds assive when I write it all down. I'm sure I'll get there though with some careful planning!

Hello GR
hope you had a good sleep and that the 'witch' has trouble starting her broom so you can have a peaceful day.
You've raised such a huge amount of money that you'll still have plenty left over to keep in savings. The good thing about feeling down spending money is you're not going to do it very often, so that's a bonus.
Have a great day hun

Well my day has been a disaster. DS has finally saved enough money for his new bike. Ordered it online this morning and had an e-mail mid afternoon to say they no longer did the bike. Finished work and have spent 2 hours going to every bike shop in Wales but we've got one and DS is so thrilled!!!!
The witch has been an absolute nightmare in work today. Her OH is going away for the weekend and she has a real trust issue with him and everybody's life is hell.
Have got a day off tomorrow. Got the Comet repair man coming to try to fix my TV. It fell off the cupboard and I'm afraid to plug it in now. It's got a ruddy hole in the bottom bit just under the screen but the insurance insist on sending someone out to try to repair it!!! I'm hoping they are going to allow me to claim on my policy. I've never claimed for anything in my life and I'm really nervous about it. Luckily J has given me a TV, it's not a fabulous one but it's tons better than the portable one we were watching. I've got to find £100 excess also so fingers crossed that it'll all go OK for me.
Have had 2 letters today saying that two of my DD payments are going down. There's a saving of £61 from August 1st (had arrears on mortgage from a wile back and have been paying it back for the last 6 months) and another saving of £15 from Spetember 1st. Also got my payrise through which I'm hoping will be in July's pay next week. so hopefully I'll get through August OK.
Sales are quite slow at the moment. Don't you just hate it when you have watchers and they just don't buy?????0 -
Hi GR
I know exactly what you mean about watchers. What I tend to do is reduce anything near the end if it has a watcher on it. Sometimes it helps but maybe they'd have bought it anyway.
Glad you sorted out DS bike. When they've got their heart set on something you really want to try and get it for them.
Sorry you had a rotten day...I can't believe this is still going on at your work.
Pour yourself a tipple and have a good relax tonight.

Thanks Diz, have just had a phone call, am having a visitor. We both have the day off work tomorrow for different reasons so I think it's going to be a late one. Not complaining though, could do with some friendly company0

Hope you had a good night GR and that today goes well. Toomany dishonest people about these days means the insurers are extra careful.
Good news that your DS got a bike at last just a pain having to go round all the shops that cant have been fun.
Not sure what you can do at work have you tried the sticking your fingers in your ears and going la al la I cant hear you approach yet!!:j0 -
LOL Wendy. I think she'd still be heard if I was as deaf as a post!!!!
Had a great night last night. He even stayed (he's still sleeping now, lazy beggar) by the sounds of it we are going to spend the day together
Insurance man has been. The TV will not even turn on, it's completely dead. The only trouble I;ve got is it's one of the old type wide screen so even if they replace it they'll probably replace it with one that won't be compatible to the digital switchoverWill wait and see what they come to me with.
It's great to have a day off especially when the weather is fab, going to make the most of it. Think I'll get some money out and treat J to some lunch even if it's just from the chip shop. He really needs some pampering.... Catch you all later.0 -
Maybe they will give you vouchers to the value so you can upgrade if needed?
Hope you have had a great day with J:j0
