Not had a very good day today. I'm still quite tired and ratty with it. Boss got on my nerves in work today, thank god I don;t have to go back until next Wednesday. Am also stressed out because J is feeling down today and there's nothing I can do to cheer him up.

Have beed reading the book In the Red about a compulsive shopper who has run up £32,000 on her credit cards. The book is a diary about how she pays it all off. It's a cruel reminder of how we all used to be before finding DFW. It's a really entertaining book though.

Am off to have an early night tonight so catch you tomorrow.
  • Hope you are resting GR. It tough when people you care about are not happy but theres only so much a person can do. Youll be no good to anyone if you dont remember to look after yourself.

Ill have to keep an eye out for that book sounds good. Maybe let me know when /if you amazon it?

Hi Wendy, thanks for the support. Have got up early this morning and told myself to pull myself together. Have just relisted about 60 items on e-bay and have got a list of other things Ive got to take pictures of today and list later. Am also going to make my usual weekend list of things to do:
    Clean bathroom
    Clean kitchen
    Clean Dining room
    Tidy living room
Move TV into spare room (its broken)
Move portable into living room (until I can afford a new TV)
Move bikes out of the house and into the bike store
    General Tidy Up
    Post off e-bay parcel
Pick up leg of lamb that I ordered from Butchers yesterday
    Asda's
    Pool party at 3.30

OMG It looks an horrendous list now it's down on paper, there didn;t seen that much to do when it was in my head....

Have decided that a positive attitude is what's needed this weekend so I'm going to go for it and make/save as much money as possible.
  • One thing off the list at a time GR and youll be better off than you were. Im sure the 60 items will net a nice profit when they finish. I havent done anything today except wash and comb DD2s hair because there are little "friends" about. Need to go a list of my own.

I've done quite a bit already

    Clean bathroom - done
    Clean kitchen - done
    Clean Dining room
    Tidy living room
Move TV into spare room (its broken) - done
Move portable into living room (until I can afford a new TV) - done
Move bikes out of the house and into the bike store
    General Tidy Up
Post off e-bay parcel - done
Pick up leg of lamb that I ordered from Butchers yesterday - done
    Asda's - done
    Pool party at 3.30

Dining room is half done and hoping to persuade DD to move the bike for me. Have just had a bite to eat and going to start again. Just found a cordless phone, checked it was working and stuck that on e-bay. Going to venture upstairs soon and see what delights I can find up there!

GirlRacer, have you thought about getting a tv from freecycle? Mine always have a tonne of tv's, I am sure you'll find a decent size tv from there until you feel the need to get a new one.
Smile more often, it's FREE :hello: Live on £4000 for a year stalker! :p

Thanks Buzzbox I never thought of that. I'm hoping that I can claim off the house insurance and I'm waiting for them to phone me back about it, if I can't claim I'll certainly look at freecycle. Thanks

Have got to clean the living room as J is coming up tonight (I'm cooking him a meal!!!) so think that's going to be my next job.
  • Great progress GR thats loads done in one day. Missed the bit about the TV going sorry. Freecycle here often have large screen tvs on offer so worth looking out for.

Thanks Wendy. I've gone all lazy now. Still not cleaned the living room, been in the bath for ages just soaking and relaxing and now don't feel like doing it. Think I'm going to have to bribe the kids to do it for me!!!!

TV fell off the stand on Thursday and now I can't get a picture. Have got a portable TV there for the minute and we need a magnifying glass to watch it :) Hopefully the insurance will come through for me and I can get another one.
