Oh !!!!!!... it's times like this when i HATE Ebay!!

I sell a few wholesale baby clothes items, and some stock i recently sold were some EX-next t-shirts. The tags have been removed by wholesaler for legal reasons.. as I'm sure many of you are familiar with.
I have just recieved this message from a buyer:

Hi could i have a refund please for the two 'next' tshirts i bought from you. I believe these to be fakes. I have ckecked every next item in mine and my sons wardrobes and these tags do not match those ones. I will leave positive feedback providing i can have my money back as im hoping this was a genuine mistake and you didnt intend to mislead people. I hope we can sort this out quickly and easily. Thankyou.
Tanya

So I replied with:

These are not fakes.. They are genuine next items, bought from a wholesalers, they are end of the line stock.. As it states in my listing, the next tag has been removed due to legal reasons, The next logo is not allowed to be on any of their items that are re-sold.
I'm sorry this has caused confusion for you. As you can see from my feedback, I have sold many of these with no problems at all. I suggest you take them into a Next store for peace of mind, and they can confirm for you that they are infact genuine.

I hope this helps.
Charlotte

What else should I do? this woman has frustrated me so much! I'm sick of selling brand name items!!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • hi there, sorry for the hassle you are having. You have two options - do as she is asking and go through ebay stating that you have mutually agreed to not go through with the sale therefore you then get refunded your listing fee (then you are not out of pocket) or you can escalate it with ebay so she has to pay which she wont then she will get negative feedback! up to you. Good luck.

  • Hi. Sorry, maybe i wasnt clear lol.
    She won these on the 5th October, and paid immediately, I posted them soon after. she has now receieved them, but wants to keep them, but get a refund as she THINKS they are fake. but the thing is... she doesnt deserve a refund!!!! I sold her a good item for a bargain price, and all my other buyers loved them :confused:

  • no thats !!!!!!!!! she cant get a refund, report her. did she pa by paypal?
    Just under £20,000 in debt and struggling!!
  • Yeh she did pay via paypal.
    What can i report her for though?? Threatening and acusations? lol!

    Thing is.. she can open a "not as described" dispute against me... but she won't win the dispute, as i can proove to paypal that these are infact genuine, by giving wholesalers details etc, and an invoice.. but t slooks like i'm gona get a neg either way :confused: :eek: :-(
    I :heart::coffee:
  • say to her that she will have to return them for a full refund (not including p & p costs) if she wont and wants to take it further the only thing she can do is file a report to paypal which then you can provide the info they ned as you've just said. She dont stand a chance!

  • But the thing is, I don't offer refunds, and I only sell a few items now n then (not a huge seller!) So i don't see why I should let her get away with this, and I will still be a little out of pocket for the postage i paid, when I've not actually done anything wrong. As im stubborn and refuse to refund/let her return items... So you think I should just let her leave me the neg??

    I only have 2 negs out of 600 feedback, and they were for problems that wernt my fault, so I'd hate to get another! Arghh I hate some ebayers

  • yeah people like this are annoying. did you state no returns in your listing. if you did just settle for the neg feedback and you can make a note against her negative.
    Just under £20,000 in debt and struggling!!
  • I didn't state no returns, but i thought unless you state that you DO do returns.. then you don't have to??
    Yeh I guess i will have to make a note, but there isnt mch I can say against it...
    I assume she will just say something along the lines of:

    "Fake Item, no refund, avoid this seller!"

    so i could say something like:

    "The item is not fake. Ebayer just wanted her money back, and wouldnt belive the truth"

    no thats useless.. lol, what can i say in reply????
    I :heart::coffee:
  • 100% genuine item with proof. Buyer would not listen or reason.???????
    Just under £20,000 in debt and struggling!!
  • Ah that sounds good enough, cheers. i will keep you updated on what happens next, i'm assuming she won't reply till tomorrow.

    You never know though, I may be lucky...

    I used to sell genuine Gucci designer sunglasses, sold loads with no probs... then of course one woman came along, said they were fake and wanted a refund... I told her to take them to a sunglasses retailer for confirmation... I never heard any more from her after that... she never left any feedback... good or bad. So i was very happy about that! I think she felt guilty for accusing me though lol.
