You would be better off buying direct from Next clearance stores the tags are in tact and you probably get a better choice.

There was obviously no problem with your listing it now comes down to whether you want to refund to save getting bad feedback, unfortunately.

To be honest, I'm probs going to go with the bad feedback, as I am a good seller, and 99.9% of my buyers know that, so I don't mind :o

I don't have a next clearance store near me, but i wish i did!! I love the baby clothes there!!! the next clothes that are occasionally put onto that website i just showed you are often very cheap, and i sell them at a great profit, so that's why I use them. I'm surprised how well NEXT things sell on ebay, as its not even a designer label, but people seem to love it! :o

It really would be worth taking a trip to your nearest when they have their sales on, the kids clothes are often £2 or less each and same with womens/mens.
  • wow!! cool, cause they have good mens jeans there... my husband (to be, we are getting married in 20 days!!!) loves them! So I would love to go there. Can you find out on the net where your nearset one is? I'm going to take a look now!

  • Right apparently my nearest one is in "cheshire oaks designer outlet mall" So I think I will go there soon. Thanks for that FloFlo

  • Delabelled clothes can sometimes be factory seconds, but sometimes they're just surplus/ clearance stock which has been delabelled to stop people trying to take it to their local branch of the shop on the label and change it for something else.
I know Next is a bit posh but I'm not sure they're quite posh enough to be faked! :rotfl:
I hope you did mention in the listing that they were delabelled though, since it might affect a customer's decision to purchase if, for example, they're buying a gift and don't want the recipient to know they're a cheapskate.

All delabelled or snipped label clothes are considered in the trade to be seconds (whether there is anything wrong with them or not!) and are always described as such. There are certain retailers who buy up surplus of other retailers and have them relabelled with their own brand.

I've just sold a load of delabelled M&S trousers, but unfortunately couldn't tell anyone that that's what they were, unsurprisingly those who bought them came back for more!

  • once i bought some de-branded shoes to sell on ebay, and they all had nasty black smudges on the inside lol, so didn't look too nice, but i mentioned this in the listing, and they still sold very well :T

Just a thought....With any de labelled item the reputation of the seller is prime so I would probably be more careful not to do anything to risk a neg or a comment about fakes. Just imagine looking at something and seeing a red comment about it being a fake..it just might make a buyer hesitate.

  • Thanks Soolin, Well she hasn't replied yet, although i assume she will within a couple of days. I'll just see what she wants to do next, and if she really isn't happy then i will make her RETURN them for a refund.... but there is no chance I am letting her keep them AND get a refund like she is suggesting!!

Only problem with letting her return them, is i know they won't be in original condition, as they were wrapped in plastic and she has taken it out of these, so I probs won't be able to sell for as much now, I don't know...

As she seems reluctant to return them then maybe let her go to chargeback but be aware this will tie your paypal account up for a while. That way she can only get a refund when she proves she has returned them to you.

If she really feels they are fake then she should be involving trading standards, so she is obviously just trying it on a bit.

If she is going to leave a neg she may well leave one regardless, so maybe just let her fight it out with paypal.
