Always worth emailing the Consultant's secretary, Lamewolf, if an expected urgent appointment doesn't materialise, particularly if your post's a bit unreliable.
(((Hugs))) Jojo. Don't know if you do them but it sounds as though Himself is not himself, if you see what I mean, since the panic attack and the job he didn't get.
(((Hugs))) Dizzy. Lucky hen to have had such tender care during her last hours. You sound very much like this blogger with care of her poultry. (She's turned vegan since she started her foray into self-sufficiency!)
I hope the dentist's trip wasn't too traumatic Dancemum and you get some much-needed sleep.
Little Flying done today other than keeping things tidy including the kitchen, but I did the top-up shopping, took Kelpie for hydrotherapy and he's finally at his slimest ever, collected Devil Cat's new drugs and made sure he was given one regardless of OH's reluctance, dealt with a couple of urgent bits of paperwork, bought my 2018 diary pages, committed to going to a workshop because no-one else on the Neighbourhood Forum has stepped forward *curses* and had lunch with a friend who I hadn't seen for months. All in all a rather good day.Better is good enough.0 -

work is crazy...not the nice bit (cuddles and got called mummy today:D) but what's going on in the background.
I woke up in the night to answer a callof nature and as I was drifting back off into the land of nod I suddenly remembered that school dinners needed to be cancelled for 2 classes so I messaged boss.
Got a text at 6:30 asking why I was thinking about dinners:rotfl: I said they'd flashed into my mind then I went back to sleep again. Soundly.:rotfl:
Anyway I have some oomph so I am going to do a some flyingDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Dentist wasn't too bad. Teeth chiselled (scale and polished) so now feel horrible. No nap had.
Collected ds2's exam certificates from school.
Phoned a frog.
Helped a friend and then popped to a gc together. Did a bit of C shopping.
Hope Mr LW is more thoughtful soon. X0 -
Sorry to hear about the chook, Dizzy

Sorry about Bianca Dizzy
Shame about the dyspraxia assessments Pigpen, I do about one each month but only over-16s as below that it has to be via someone medical.
Mr N is definitely the major flyman right now; this morning I was getting ready for work, asked his plans for the day and he said "flying" as it was too cold to work on his renovation bike in the garage. So lounge/hall/dining room are sparkly. All I've done is work.
Tomorrow we go and pick up his new (to him) bright red car then I think he's going to visit our friend R. He's spoken to him over the last couple of days, this morning was gruelling as R and daughter went to collect the death certificate. So hard to know what to say or do.
Must get Xmas cards out from under the eaves this w/e; I usually aim to write them by 1st Dec. Can't bear all the trees and decorations that are appearing this early; nothing goes up in this house until at least 12th Dec and comes down Jan 6th. Grump grump.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
He apologised, I apologised. I got cuddled to sleep - in a room where I realised upon heading for bed last night, he had spent quite a long time sorting out the clothes mountain, picking up general gibble and making the bed so it was all clean and crisp and perfect.
He's been off on a writing session today and, following another hectic day at work (Departmental Audit, fellow Prisoners of Education - otherwise known as create a ton of new resources, knock up a few nice looking posters, create a hundred poncey looking spreadsheets as the expensive report writing software isn't as good as somebody spending ages duplicating the information in Excel , redoing every wall display so the Observer in the lesson isn't sent into coniptions by an A3 laminated infographic being slightly off perfectly horizontal and aligned with the ten others on the board, hiding every item of equipment that is generally held together with gaffer tape and positive thoughts, perfectly aligning every keyboard, monitor and set of speakers....oh, and still having the little inconvenience of my actual job to do during the day as well) - he's actually back at a reasonable time and has cooked a very nice, light dinner. Bet the ragecleaned kitchen helped.
Ooooh. That's a surprise. The possibility of a temporary job as a roadie (that I found out about from somebody else but he didn't mention to me) is looking like a distinct likelihood. He's just come down from checking his emails and asked me if I am OK with him maybe being away for most of December and am I absolutely sure when I'm going to be so busy at work/tired in the evenings.
I think I made myself sound positive and supportiveI could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Downstairs got a blitzing today
Upstairs (especially the study-bedroom RoD) is still horrid
I suddenly realised this evening that I had forgotten to deliver a birthday card to one of the Old Wives who lives locally. She doesn't like opening her door after dark so I had to ring her and ask if I could pop round. It took an hour to deliver a card and then call at the corner shop on my way home for a bottle of milk...
DS1 has rung me this evening for a chat. Hadn't heard from him since before half term, and he's not on FB, so it was good to catch up and hear how DGD1+2 are getting on at school.
DH wants to take me to see the new Murder on the Orient Express tomorrow, so that means another frustrating day of trying to do essential college work between all the other things that fill my day.
(((Hugs))) to Dizzy and (gently) to LW, as well as to anyone else in need x0 -
Evening all
Hugs Dizzy - sorry to read about Bianca
Cards sound super LW - wish I was artistic. Hope Mr LW soon cheers up
Pleased to read dentist trip went okay DM
Hope you found some cream for your hands ATB and sending gws vibes
Happy Birthday for your DS tomorrow YL
Does anyone else find it difficult to get on with the h/w when their other half is about ? DH hasn't been going into work until mid-afternoon, working later, going to bed at about 4.00am and then getting up at mid-day for the last couple of weeks. Being as we are all on the one level it's difficult to get on without making much noise and waking him, and then difficult to do floors etc when he is still here. Oh well - just have to keep doing bits and pieces as and when instead of being able to really get stuck into it as I like to do usually. Hope things get back to normal soon.
All usual 'stuff' done
Kitchen bottomed out except floor needs a wash
Fridge cleared of detritus and washed out
All recycling sorted and put out and bins washed
Been through lots of emails and un-subscribed those not needed
Hugs, stick and spoons as needed
Hope you all have a great Thursday

Exactly! DH has gone back to work for the first time in a fortnight. He takes up so much space when I'm trying to clean! And things like mopping floors has to wait until he is out for a couple of hours. He has started talking about retirement....I'm going to start looking for a she-shed :rotfl:
I've just re-cleaned the bathroom mirror after a thoughtful person left finger prints over it. Cloth in hand, I cleaned the mirrors in both bedrooms, and wiped sticky fingerprints off our wardrobe. Not sure where they came from. QHI done, WU done, everyone packed off to their rightful places, and I'm off to job 2 in a minute.
Have a good day everyone. X0
