I need to have a shower and wash my hair - really CBA though how bad is that :o
Don't worry; I get like that too. I don't so much mind the morning bath, but washing my hair is such a palaver, and so physically draining that I do tend to put it off. :(

Rather too many £ decluttered this morning; £7 at the F&V market, but we did come ayaw with three cloth bags full of various produce, so that was definitely worth it.

Not so good was the trip to Morries; Mr LW plonked three bottles of Pinot Grigio in the basket on my lap (which was already heavy and didn't even offer to pay for them. We've not been getting along so well of late and I didn't feel like an argument, so I said nothing, but I hope he's not going to do this on a regular basis. :(

Mrs MoneyPenny, could you make a bit of space in your Inbox for a PM please.

Sorry to hear about Mr LW's thoughtlessness, LW. (((Hugs)))

Devil Cat went to see the vet this morning for a follow-up and she's very pleased with him. His eye is a bit better, and the new drug has been prescribed. I'll go and pick them up later if they've arrived at the surgery because it's a bespoke pill that's made to order. In the meantime we got the vet to show us how she'd dose him up which can be tricky now, so that'll be a lot easier for the little chap from now on.

Thank you everyone who's sending him *painfree* vibes - it's working. He's holding his own and has put on 100g over the past week because he is eating like a little pig, which is excellent.

I picked up a tip at the surgery. They now have a basket of towels that are sprayed with Fel!way for owners/keepers/servants to drape over the cat's basket while it's in the waiting room. Devil Cat is not keen on being put in his basket so I thought I'd see if that calmed him down a bit, which it did. When I tried to fold it up and put it back the vet nurse told me they wash them between uses, so I asked if Devil Cat could sit on it while on the examination table. Good as gold, no trying to escape, nothing. Must remember to spray his basket before use in future and use it around the house and keep an impregnated towel around the place for him to sit on.

Mountain of froggy paperwork cleared yesterday. I'll crack on with standing up flying in a bit.
    Better is good enough.

Another one who has lost track of time today.

((Hugs)) LW, Hopefully Mr LW will soon be back to his usual self.

HB - so glad that Devil Cat is responding to being totally spoilt as he deserves.

Mrs MP - the Book Thief is DD's favourite book. It was mine, and she wanted to read it, and must have re read it more times than I can remember. So much so, that I gave in and just let her keep it! And she also re-reads Wonder regularly and tells me how "amazing" it is...

I went for a short - and very slow that to call it a run is really not the truth - run this morning, back to shower and hair wash. My most hated job of the week. Then a dash to Mr M, where I also spent too much, but I did get there as the butcher's counter was YS everything in sight. My freezer (did I say that I was trying to empty it for the dreaded C word??) is now full. BUT I did put everything onto a meal plan for the next couple of weeks before I stashed it away, so feeling a bit pleased about that.

LR dusted before I went out, so I now need to get the vacuum cleaner out. DH has just gone to town to do errands and even offered to pick up DD after school! She was calculating on the way to school just how much she could take him for a ride in the book shop, on the grounds that he will know no different....

Right, must get on, as I only logged in to check on the list!
  • Honey bear I've cleared some space, so glad to hear devil cat is responding well, hugs to you both. X
Back from work eaten, dh back to work and ds1 currently being dropped at train station as he has a gig of some sort and a meet up with friends. Sewing machine currently out hoping to get hearts made before afterschool club. Might go pub quiz again tonight apparently ds2s friends have asked if we are coming. Lol.

I've not had a shower for weeks and just washed my hair for the first time in a fortnight today.. I never CBA as it takes so much energy and recovery time it is just impossible unless I have nothing else to do.. and I can't shower at home because I can't get in the bath.. yes it sucks!

and now I need to do a school run and shopping trip.. and I don't want to do that either!

HB Thanks for the update on Devil Cat; the little guy is at the top of my healing list right now, and I am grateful that you keep us apprised of how he's doing.

I'd hoped to do a module of my Dog Behaviour Training Course, but the website isn't playing nicely, in that it won't let me access the next module. I've sent an email to Technical Support, so hopefully they can sort it out. I got Mr LW to double-check with me in case I was doing something daft, and he concurs, the problem is at their end.

So I have printed out three birthday cards and 22 Yule cards. I just need to trim them up and do embellishments where needed - but maybe that can wait til another day. ;)

Onion soup has been requested for dins; I've found a straight-forward recipe, so I'll have to go and crack on with that shortly.

  • Back from swimming lessons, just gobbling some crisps and having a brew whilst kiddies dinner cooks. Then it's into the bath for them and shower time for me! DH can cook dinner (corned beef hash tonight) whilst I do yet more business admin and sort some laundry.

    Have lovely evenings all xx

Showerroom and bathroom both sparkly. I even dusted the towel rails and skirting boards and washed the floors. I feel positively saintly.

Today, for the first time in months if not years, I feel well. I'm normally bogged down by a terrible lethargy which I've been cursed with for years but I'm very gradually working out what makes it worse and what keeps it at bay. On days like today there is hope I can get something resembling a normal life back again. Brilliant.

    Evening all

Sorry to read that LW and hope things soon improve

Great news HB on all fronts and long may it last.

    Dailies done
    Paperwork frog sorted
Phoned car finance and confirmed they have received balance - phew
Phoned consultant, well his secretary, who apologised for lack of response but confirmed he doesn't want to see me anymore atm - another phew
Big and small freezer tetris completed
    Spanish lessons done
    Hoovered all the way through
Disinfected cloth round all the handles everywhere
    Cleaned the front porch out
Kitchen WUDUPA and bunkers, hob and micros wiped down

We are thinking of selling our car and I managed to get a good quote for it today. Will have to start looking for another, but will probably leave it until the new year now.

Hugs, sticks and spoons for anyone needing some
Hope you all have a super Wednesday
