  • Morning all

Did not sleep. At all. Worried and stressed, probably more worried and stressed than I should be in the scheme of things but that's me. Didnt help that I heard DS arguing with his GF either.

So goodness only knows what today holds. We are supposed to be taking DS to the train station to go and meet GF but he is getting a later train now apparently - so who knows.

But one way or another I will have to work!

Oh and I have done the ironing already. Have decided that my November challenge needs to be a massive cull of my clothes, I just have far too many. I dream of going in the wardrobe and seeing everything hung and folded neatly instead of rammed and squashed in.
  • YL - biggest of hugs from me. Totally wish I was closer, I love a good wardrobe tidy, we could have done it with Baileys in hand and Christmas music playing! Hope today ends up being a GOOD day for you all xx

DH rolled in from the pub at midnight so I'm up with the kids; I'm already looking forward to my lay in tomorrow :D

DW unloaded, WM unloaded straight into TD, about to cook butties. Have fab days all xx

I had an 'eventful' afternoon yesterday, the upshot of which meant my shepherd dance never got past the opening bars.
And we appear to have a sheep with 4 left feet.
    Went out last night,
Loads to do this weekend, too.
    Must construct a list

LW - big squishy hugs for you. It sounds like the others could be right - Mr LW is worried and taking it out on the person he knows best. I hope you work it out soon, as you sound like such a team together.

I think I wasn't too far behind you in cracking open the Friday night bottle, ATB!

My 20 minute journey home turned into an hour as I came across an accident. There were already enough people on the scene, so I figured that my best plan was to stop far enough back with my hazards on to stop the traffic from my direction as I was the front car and its a dark country road. Luckily the guy behind me cottoned on and did the same.

Not alot done last night, even though I was last one back. Apparently I am the only one who can lay a table and get dinner on it.

This afternoon I have an appointment the opposite direction to the riding drop off, so DH and DD are going to have to sort it for themselves for a change. Not quite sure what we are going to eat this weekend, as the shopping plan for this afternoon has got to pot. Courgettes form the freezer?? Again??

I'm working right now on my November challenge of clearing the stashed drawers and cupboard in the spare room. Well I will be when I stop posting! 4 bags have left the house, so I'm pleased with that. More to go though. I think I'd better just stop typing and get on!

Went to bed full of good intentions to get up and on today as I'm sitting with mum all day tomorrow, so what doesn't get done today stands a good chance of remaining un-done til next weekend.

And what have I done? Managed to get the laptop working (bad idea) so ....caught up with fb, caught up with the thread -sending out virtual hugs to everyone who needs or wants one, sounds like a lot of you are going through tough times :( , played a couple of games of Bookworm which I was absolutely NOT going to do as it's a total time waster. Had two cups of tea and my usual breakfast (in a mug as there are no clean dishes :o). And I'm sat here at getting on for eleven o'clock still in my dressing gown.

I did set a load swishing in WM whilst the kettle was boiling for the second time and I've ordered two (affordable) C presents for DS from his wish list

So, not a total whitewash then :D

Hope everyone else is having a more productive day than I am if that's what you have planned. And, if you're having a 'sod it' morning like me please do say ...

(((Hugs))) Lamewolf. I hope everything settles down back to normal really soon. It sounds as though Mr LW is worried sick about his health and taking it out on you.
I'm sure you're right; and he hasn't stopped to think what it's doing to my already-nonexistant self esteem.
He's being an eejit because he's worried about the hospital appointment.
Eejit is the word! :D Thanks - at least you gave me a smile.
I hope yours gets his act together, too; and I really, really hope your joints/muscles start behaving themselves.

My stepdad is supposed to be going into hospital for an op.. it was supposed to be today but it has been postponed.. a couple of days ago he and my sister had a major screaming blowout... it is what people do when they are frightened they lash out at those closest to them. He loves you dearly and doesn't mean it.. Maybe you should tell him you understand he is scared and worried and noone knows that feeling more than you do but that you are there, as his wife, to stand by him 'in sickness and in health' and that if he rises in anger again you will just hold him tight and remind him you love him.... or slap him with a wet fish ;) He is being a silly billy! huge hugs for you both xx
Oh lawks, I hope your stepdad gets his op sooner rather than later - it's awful when they mess you about like that; I'm sure they don't have any proper understanding of the distress caused (and probably don't care). Yeah, he is being a silly billy - I think the wet fish may be the way to go! :rotfl:
I think we're both of us thinking the C word - and I don't mean the thing on December 25th - but neither of us wants to utter it, lest Loki be listening. :( I for one will be glad when Thursday comes, and we find out what the consultant has to say.

He seems reasonably ok this morning; he's been out for his newspaper (we only have one on a Saturday these days, and he's reluctant to relinquish that, so I think £2.20 a week is good value if it keeps him happy) and posted a letter for me while he was out; and he's stripped the bed as Saturday is Clean Bedlinen day.

We've also finally got my hair washed; yesterday was a choice between that and doing the Tesco run (£7 off a £50 spend voucher to use) and I knew I wouldn't have the strength to do both. Tesco won, as I didn't want to go there on a Saturday. So I now have a goodly supply of such exotic goodies as washing powder, loo roll, pasta, rice and Earl Grey tea. :D Oh, and he sneaked a bottle of sherry into the trolley which Muggins had to pay for . I'm saying nothing, I don't want to rock the boat at this point.

Next up is get the steam cleaner out and do the bathroom and kitchen with it, while I have no dog here. *would roll up sleeves in a "meaning business here" fashion, but I have a short-sleeved t-shirt on* :rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Woke up at 1pm. Felt like I'd been run over by a steamroller :undecided:. Found Himself hovering around his mobile because the company potentially offering some work said they'd call and he didn't want to miss it.

It's not rung. So it sounds as though he's shuffling things around in the spare [strike]pit[/strike] room whilst waiting.

Part of me is wondering why he couldn't be decontaminating the kitchen from this week's activities instead. Is it really that difficult to keep it in a hygienic and usable condition? The bathrooms are immaculate as always because I deal with them, after all. :silenced:
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

LW.. step-pa is rescheduled for the 30th.. his is cancer.. of the bowel. It was caught super early and the consultant seemed confident he could get away without chemo. He has had a stoma since July and it is to reverse that op IF it is possible.. sometimes it is, others it is not.. time will tell. His consultant upped and left suddenly after his wife became seriously ill and they moved back to Ireland.. but family first!
