Great Tips... one liners

I like all the indexes to 'tie-in' all the various pieces of useful information on these pages, it's like an encylcopedia!
I have one minor suggestion, could we have a page (not indexed) of just tips - you know, like the one line things that you get in magazines such as 'old face cloths make really good oven cloths', these would be stand alone tips not threads as such, you would just add them to a designated page

I just had a quick look at those, yes, same thing really but on the page along side all the recipes etc so all everything you ever needed to know is all in one place without having to look on other boards for it0

Hm...
Then we'd better collect them all in here and I'll make them into a page as they arrive.

You can make your posh perfumed body lotion go further if you add 'Simple' unscented lotion to the bottle and shake well0
-
Puree your cooked veg BEFORE adding it to other meat dishes (bol sauce, shepherds pie) then older kids still think they are just eating 'real' food, not baby mush, and "no" veggies0
-
If a duvet cover is getting a bit worn at the head end, you can turn it around by sewing up the open end, that will now be the new head end. You then open up the worn head end and add new poppers or ties0
-
Cut two litre plastic bottles in half. The top halves (without the screw on top) can be used as a mini cloche for newly planted out seedlings to protect them from being eaten or weather beaten. The open top stops them rotting in condensation.0

If your homemade biscuits are a little too brown on the base you can rub them on a fine grater to shave off the brown bits0
-
If you ever use tins/jars of cook-in sauce, rinse them round with a few tablespoons of water and empty back into the dish you are cooking. Makes the sauce go a teeny bit further and saves bits going down the drain."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

If your homebaked cake is a little overcooked you can put moisture back in by covering the cake tin with a cloth when it is just out of the oven, that way the steam is re-absorbed0
