It might be useful for some people to be reminded of the forum rules:-
If your posting privileges are suspended or terminated, please don't attempt to re-register on the Forum or make any posts in any guise whatsoever.
When banned former users do re-register or otherwise disrupt the forum, this can cause severe distress to other users. Dealing with unwanted ex-forum users' posts distracts the team from the core purpose of the site and takes up time. Therefore in such circumstances we may:
Report offenders to their ISP.
Charge offenders for the administrative costs of identifying and removing their posts at the rate of £40 per hour, plus any external costs that we incur.
Take legal action to recover these costs.
Report offenders to the authorities if their actions appear to amount to a breach of the Computer Misuse Act 1990 or any other relevant criminal legislation.0 -
Is anyone going to admit they the tone here changed? Since 2008? What happened?0

No way! Are they really the rules of the forum?!
If so, that's very thin ground they are walking on! They'd need a VERY LEGITIMATE reason to get you prosecuted under the Computer Misuse Act and/or get your ISP to ban access to certain websites (probably at the level of harassment and police involvement).
That £40 rate is absolutely absurd as well... Sounds like they could be trying to bully potentially vulnerable people by saying all of that. If I was a user creating multiple accounts then not only would they struggle to find out who to invoice, but I would also wipe my !!!! with said invoice and flush it down the toilet.
Do you have a link to the thread/rules? As much as it pains me to say this, but I don't think pointing out that sort of thing is particularly helpful for OP in this instance. I think it needs challenging.
That being said, PLYSU is showing their true colours right now and is coming across as a bit of a nasty person. As I said to warehouse earlier, that's precisely why I have a filter for real-life; not because I don't have the b*lls, but more because I could potentially get clocked in the face if an emotional/fragile person doesn't like what I say!0
