You are clearly employed by ICELAND (the supermarket, not the country) FROZEN FOODS.

If I worked at the Domino or at Papa John, why would I phone Pizza Hut?

Um, you wouldn't phone Pizza Hut if you were an employed by a competitor, but you might create a scurrilous thread about a fictitious incident in order to discredit them.

This board is called PRAISE VENT WARNINGS
    Indeed it is.
And if you'd not exhorted people to rise up and boycott this company, I'm (almost) certain that you wouldn't have got the replies you have.

Again, based on your reply, I will repeat. THESE FORUMS USED TO BE HELPFUL. USED TO BE.

I'm not sure what help you were expecting.
You were advised early in the thread to do a chargeback.

Or were you expecting every MSE member to rise as one behind you?

    You have a complaint.
    I understand that.
But can't you see which part of your post took the thread in the direction it has gone?

For goodness sake! I own shares in Domino's and even I don't think there's enough of a story here to back a call for a boycott of any other company! :rotfl:

    Okay thanks.

Wait till an organisation has your £19 and they let you down. They then make you jump though hoops to sort it. Sort something that they caused.

Anyhoo, what is the snowflake award you think I should get. When I googled what this meant, it said snowflake was a term used during Donald Trump's campaign. That it means a dislike for the youth.

Is that the same thing you mean?

No, it means a very delicate, fragile person.
  • ha, I refused to go to Burger King for a few years after they diddled me out of £5 once. But I wouldn't ask anyone else to do it..

TBH - if you cancelled before finding out you'd get a refund then you're stupid. You probably voided some terms and conditions of your order cancelling at short notice.

Anyway - take it up with the franchise owner rather than 'central' Pizza Hut. .Phone them up, talk to the on-duty manager, and find out why they can't give you a refund. Ask for the franchise owners details. Threaten them with trading standards if you want, or tell them you'll raise a claim in the small claims court.

Don't get the general public involved with your minor kerfuffle.

OR. .you can tweet Pizza Hut directly - i've found some firms act very quickly with this.

Absolutely not... I am referring to the (I thought) pretty well known notion that folk seem increasingly prone to throw their hands up in horror at relatively minor or trivial matters ...... like a pizza order going wrong. Maybe you should start a petition for a public inquiry? :rotfl:

Must go now.... dinner is ready ..... not pizza, but never mind eh?

I suspect you are not new to these boards.
Anyhoo I don’t really like pizza, but I’ll boycott huts if that helps.

If I do ever find myself in such a position, I'm 100% certain that I would just deal with it.
I wouldn't be encouraging random strangers on 'internet to boycott whatever organisation had my money.
