On the minus side though I am sure I did the Virgin train offer at the same time and neither account even have the purchase showing - is that the same for everyone?

My account has a new LNER bonus for 750 points valid until mid December - still worth doing for a £1.20 spend if these bonus points get awarded so quickly.

Neither of us have an new Virgin or GNW offers.

The miserable 250 points from the Argos shop either - I know some people got 1000 points - did anyone receive them.
This was the code that came with the targeted email on September 21st so its now been over 60 days depending on when you made and collected your order.

The G W R offer isn't on most accounts - it is from signing up to the newsletter from the link.

    Evening all!

Thanks to those who helped with my double up query, sorry I've been away with family for the weekend so no time to respond. The game was £43 full price, so effectively £21.50 in points. I've reserved it at Argos for £29.99 to give me time to make a decision on whether it's worth returning the original or not. I would be making a genuine return of one single item rather than multiple items bought specifically for the purpose, so I don't mind if it raises my profile as such.

I suspect it may come down to whether the SA will give a full refund or whether I'll be told it's half the value on a gift card! I part paid for the shop using a card so that might make a difference.

DH has to book a virgin train soon and I just asked him to go through Nectar, he said no as he's collecting their own points?? Can't win :o

Mhoc, what about a nice Joules scarf? They have some half price and meet the ideal of nice quality and a good brand https://www.joules.com/Womens-Clothing/Scarves

    I'm also not participating.

My basic understanding is that you pay ~ £1.50 for a train ticket and in return you get 1,000 nectar points. These nectar points equate to £5 spend at Sainsbobs now or £10 in a double-up next November.

If it works you are £8.50 up in a year's time or £3.50 up if you spend now.

If it fails to work, you are £5 down.

Always assuming that the price in Sainsbob is the cheapest you could get anywhere, otherwise the gain isn't quite as good. eg if you could by the £10 item for £8 elsewhere, you are only £6.50 up.

You are only £1. 50/£2 down if it doesn't work, not £5? (depending on how much you spent and how many tickets :)) . If you spend when the points arrive it is an instant £3.50 profit. Or if there is a double up again, an £8.50 profit. Are there other offers giving this return please?

    Thank you

oo I like this idea - some nice designs and a good price.

Also its a bit more high end then the usual Marks

I wonder if they do click and collect as we actually have a Joules in our Neros town and I could do a Quidco bonus order

I am not aware of anyone reporting they were refunded half back - a few have been told that is the policy (it isn't) but going another time or asking them to check has resulted in full refunds in cash, on debit/credit cards or Refund Cards.

The tandcs say the normal refund policy applies and MSE have highlighted this too - so if you have changed your mind you are at liberty to return it. For £13 difference I would.
