I've got a £20 and a £12 from the soy sauce/custard/tacos earlier this week, then just a couple which are around £1 each, so not too much. They don't expire until nearly the end of October anyway, and I've already got them saved as PDFs so I can print them off whenever I'm ready.

I just need to wait for either there to be some space in the freezer, or there to be a day when I'm coming straight home from the supermarket at dinner time!

The same applies for the Shopmium veggie things!

I know we have probably already done this, but the PEx app is apparently giving a free pizza when you register. Mentioned on HUKD: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/free-classic-pizza-no-min-spend-pizza-express-3064933

I thought this ended as it was a new app launch promo, but it seems to be back if reports are correct.

    Good morning all

Happy birthday to our lovely Poppy.

Can I ask if anyone has been to Alvarston Hall, Warner Leisure Hotel, or similar in the group

I am looking for a few days away next month and its a choice of this or the seaside I love the waves crashing along the seafront DH does not He would however love the Motown music on offer at the end of the month and I could suggest Cheshire Oaks for shopping :D

    Enjoy your day

Alvaston Hall is local to me - no local reports as to if its bad or good.

If you are looking for a destination hotel eg a country house hotel than it has to be Rookery Hall - they do special offers so get onto there mailing lists.
Or Crewe Hall - again its a spa hotel.
These are are at the expensive side but very luxurious.

midrange would be Wychwood park - it used to be Devere but I dont know who owns it now.

Eating out - Nantwich for small character resturants but Crewe has a few chains if you dont mind cheaper and less cheerful.

Cheshire Oaks - its actually quite a distance, about an hour away as the road to Chester has cameras and speed restrictions and there is no bypass or dual carriage way until just outside Chester.
So if Cheshire Oaks is the main attraction you might be better being closer to Chester.

Carden Park is also a country house spa hotel and much closer to Chester - again it used to be a Devere.

its an awful lot of driving about though for a weekend away - not sure why you want to come this far south - plenty of gorgeous places between here and there.

The kids fruit (e.g. Apple/Grape Slices 80g, Watermelon Slices 95g) are off the mbuy in A today, so the glitch whereby you buy multiples of five at whoopsie price (max. 10 of any unique item) and then get comp. 5 for £1.50 vs 5 for £1.50 M is no longer available. However the person who left me the shopping receipt bought total five, so either they are in the habit of buying fives and don't cease doing so even when they are full price or the mbuy is still showing on the SELs, or possibly, with these items, the packaging may be marked with mbuy and difficult to get rid of - therefore maybe look out for 5 for £1.50 signage or packaging marked with the mbuy for GC opportunity. I was still helped a little, as I got full price A comp. vs mix and match 5 for £1.50 as they happened to stick to comparable ones (the two I have mentioned) vs M.

I'm spreading mine out throughout next month. Due to my own exactness, of avoiding paying them a penny cash if at all possible, I am collecting together vouchers that give exact £1.48 so I can keep buying 6 pint milk throughout the month. I've already know it is the item with the most expensive individual price that we keep needing/buying the most. I am imagining A will stay at £1.48 and I don't expect they will go to an even lower price of £1.33. In what seems to me the unlikely event that they do, it'll be a 15p banana or a 11p banana and bit of carrot that represents the cost we are generally (in other words those majority of us without colleague discount cards) to be paying if they stay at £1.48.
