:(Just lost £4 due to my lack of sureness. I went to buy some shopping, including some E45 lotion. I have been thinking of items that are more expensive on which we'll lost the 10% soon and 10% off higher value items is worth more. As this is a product I don't buy very often, I wasn't sure I had got the right one and took it to the till to see if it was the £5 price it should have been. It scanned at £7, causing me to doubt and dither, not sure if it's the correct one, and then :(I piped up and said it should be £5. I should have kept my mouth shut. I say nothing when often I don't know what to say and then blurt out the wrong thing when I should keep quiet.

:(The SA called CS over to go and check. They went and checked, before I got overcharged and went to CS for £2 GC - I tried to back out by suggesting I thought I had got the wrong one and would have to take my shopping and go and have a look but CS was already on their way. They went and checked and of course it was the right one with the £5 SEL as I am always right:p but just doubt myself all the time. It seems the price has been sneakily increased to £7 today - my store still had £5 SEL but, thanks to me, it is now no longer there.

The SA cancelled the item and put it through again at the £5 price:(. It will therefore be the straight 10% off that I originally expected, rather than the 50p I could now have had.

It seems like another one of those days - after a failed attempt to buy some Quorn frozen pieces yesterday - maybe more about which later if I get time - I had to rejig part of the rest of the shop due to an item being OOS. I then had to change my second shop too as it turned out I had used the competitor's price for one of the items I was going to buy instead of A's price when calculating how much I was spending. I bet that won't work either as I have rushed out without checking everything online. I bet the Lime Cordial (that I saw comparing vs T at 40p yesterday) will have stopped working as it was showing unavailable on t.com last night and msm already had "---" for T then and I bet T have put the prices up for a Sunday on my other items even if the offers are running for anoher week.

I think I probably end up paying the same, even after the glitches, due to my failed shops costing me more.

However, I did have a nice neat and tidy shop vs T yesterday, with some crisps and trigger that worked, which I may post later if I get time and if I even still have the receipt (don't even know if I've already used it and got rid of it today). Thanks for the info. on the triggers earlier - there are some Baked Crisps that compare £1.50 vs 90p each at T - I did this additonal shop for standard 6 pack vs 2 for £2 though as I found my small A had sme different varieties of apples and managed to do a shop vs T in there. Limited selection of flavours and late in the day getting to my big A and found they had Baked Crisps left in just the two comparable flavours different from the standard 6s I had just bought at the small place, together with a different McCoys from the one I had got earlier and different from the Walkers flavours I had got now at both places - so ended up with exactly what I wanted, different variety of flavours and not the same, thanks to choosing at my small A what was unknowingly sold out of my big A bu that time of day.

The E45 was the correct one - E45 Moisturing Lotion 500ml and it should compare, for me, £5.00:( vs £5.00 M. The real price in A today is £7.00 if someone outside Northern Ireland can find their store still with £5 SEL.

I wonder "What is so difficult?"- it says E45 Moisturing Lotion and 500ml on the back of the item and E45 Moisturing Lotion 500ml on the SEL, obviously the same thing but I was still unsure:wall:!

Happy birthday to whoever's birthday I might have missed or if it is still your birthday today, happy birthday now.

This is going to take some getting used to.
Five shops done to use up PAGS without doing a list for comparisons:rotfl:

It might be difficult finding items where A is the best price available unless we see these "even lower prices". I might end up going for the best I can get before the vouchers expire. However, the thing is I won't be needing to have to use several wombles to buy an APG shop at A's expensive prices and have an APG back. Instead I can just use one womble, or one at a time, to buy one or two items at its value as no need to buy eight items anymore.

I might not have lost £4 if the M comp. doesn't work - that remains to be seen. However, I didn't want to be unsure again and I think it probably will go £5 vs £5.

(Of course if it now goes vs full price, then I have lost even 10% cheaper due to the SA changing the price of A the £5 that I thought it was going to be. However, if it goes vs full price, then I wouldn't have lost £4 in the first place as the comp. wouldn't have worked. In that case, I will have lost £2 gift card, plus whatever the comp. from £7 A would have added - or lost.)

    Happy Birthday Poppy.

:(Hopeless. Didn't even get 10% cheaper on the E45 lotion, obtained at a straight £5 (the same as M). The item hasn't even appeared on the comp. I therefore can't even show you what the item says on the APG as it is a no-show.

Would never have got £4 therefore due to no comp.:( Missed out on £2 GC - and paid 50p more than I expected due to the item dropping offline. If the item is showing £5 SEL in your A but it goes through at £7, therefore just buy it at straight £7 if you want it in effect for £3 as it is a GC opp.

Reduced my APG even more - was hoping at least 50p (£5 vs £5) would have made it more worthwhile as buying largely everyday items at price match vs price match. Should have added £2.50 if it had appeared - probably temporarily OOS:(:p on a.com for the period of my shop, while they change the price to the even higher price it now is. Instead APG reduced to printable pence but not as much as I would have wished! Fortunately happened to have nine items on this shop. At least that did not fail - I have only had "not enough items" about a couple of times despite cutting it fine quite often.

1x Aberfeldy Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl) £36.00 £25.00

I knew as soon as I saw it that it was going to be a great womble.

    Unfortunately, they also bought these.....

3x Nescafe Azera Americano Decaff Instant Coffee (100g) £9.00 £17.67
    2x Nescafe Azera Americano Instant Coffee (100g) £6.00 £10.98

    How cruel was that?

Ooh, thanks TM, that whisky will do very nicely for the grumpy one's birthday next month.
Rest assured I'll buy the right coffee!
